I experienced the most alarming display of poor customer service experience by a young woman working at this location. As my friend and I pulled through the drive thru and no one acknowledged at the ordering screen after saying hello, we pulled up behind the vehicle in line ahead of us. While in line a young woman, who never gave her name but had the head set on/purple and neon yellow braids, was hollering āgo back around.ā We weāre trying to figure out who she was talking to initially. She said it louder and pointed to our vehicle and said, āYou need to go back around to order. I saw yāall on camera and you only waited for like ten seconds.ā We pulled up to the window where a young man named, Andre presumably as his name was on the ticket, opened the window to take our order. The same young woman jumped in his face, slammed the window, began to demean and berate this young manā¦all which we could hear. She told him not to take our order, that we acted as if we (the customers) were a priority. Mind you the only thing that was said to this young woman calmly, ā No one answered, weāre not driving back around and we would just like a slushy.ā We did not cut in front of anyoneā¦we were in line. She proceeded to tell the young man again not to take the order to which he statedā¦itās just a slushy. He then stood to the side. She finally took the orderā¦then begrudgingly said, āPlease be patient with us.ā She never apologized for HER behavior. And the treatment of that young man was 1000% unacceptable. I am only giving a two star rating because that young man is to be commended for showing restraint, poise and professionalism when that young woman clearly crossed the line. Which told us that behavior is the norm. Society always talks about how there is a double standard with respect to how men are expected to absorb disrespect from women. And that experience supports that and I hope that young man isnāt marred by the young womanās poor treatment of him. That workplace environment is very dangerous with a young woman who outwardly displays such behavior towards customers and so comfortably towards staff. I have reported this to corporate as it was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited this location in November of 2020 and this visit was the first time I have ever been to a Sonic location anywhere. It is not close to me at all, but because I was having a very bad day, I had no problem making this drive while trying to clear my mind. In addition, this Sonic is located within a beautiful area in Waldorf that I try to visit as much as possible to Shop and/or Dine. When I arrived, I noted that their outside is/was immaculately clean.. decided to pull into an Ordering Stall even though I had no idea what to expect. When I was ready to place my order, I was warmly greeted by Will, and Will also was my Carhop. Will helped me order and Pay very quickly right from the comfort of my car via my ordering stall. Will brought out my food very quickly and he made sure I had everything I wanted/needed as far as my order. Everything was correct, Hot and Fresh and I then proceeded to devour my meal of a Coney Hot Dog, Corn Dog, Small Chicken Bites, and Grape Slushie. I came very hungry and I left here very satisfied with leftovers. I was very skeptical at first about whether or not their Coney Hotdogs would be a real hotdogs or just something that looks like a hotdog but is about 1% Beef and 99% Fillers you don't want to eat. I am extremely pleased to report today that their hotdogs are real hotdogs. In addition, I've never had a Corn dog before, but I'm now a fan of them thanks to Sonic. In addition, it was so quiet and peaceful as I ate that I almost wished they had outdoor movie screens or I brought a portable DVD Player with me...lol..because my meal was/is totally worthy of eating while watching a favorite. And I love the fact that Sonic has designed their restaurants to mimic the days when Drive-In Dining was in its heyday. I really enjoyed my experience here and I very much look forward to my next visit to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSoooooo to throughly understand this review and rating I have to give you the brief background. Take a journey with me as we flashback....When I lived in another southern state(s) I literally ate at Sonic nearly everyday. The service was quick, the food was always correct and the customer service was on par.
Fast forward a few years. I move up north and to my dismay Sonic is not as popular as where I came from, so much so that no Sonic was available. Disappointment yes, but I still loved Sonic and would visit as much as possible as soon as a I hit 95 South.
Recently I find out that a Sonic is finally coming to Maryland, but a sinking feeling immediately overcame me. I dunno I just feel like it's going to bad idea, albeit however much I loved Sonic.
In a gist, Maryland, Waldorf namely, is NOT prepared for a Sonic location. It's not the same, customer service, food, timely orders, is what I'm used to and this location doesn't deliver. I'm soooooooo disappointed in this location that my love for Sonic has dwindled somewhat. Wow.
I visited 3 times before and the first two times I left due to the long wait. On the day I did finally order I find out that they've ran out of scrambled eggs for the Breakfast Burrito that I wanted to order. Now mind you, I've never had this happen at the Southern Sonic venues. My heart sunk even further. It's just not worth it I tell myself.
So to stay tried and true to my everlasting love for Sonic I'm going to keep the thrill alive and never visit this establishment again. I'll just wait until my occasional visits back South. Because honeyyyyy...
