omg…how have I never known I live right across from this hidden gem?!? & its ALL HALAL?!? gosh, say less… I ordered chicken quesadilla, steak taco bowl (spicy sauce on the side), plantains, & was (easily) convinced to get the freshly made tres leches (everything was freshly made tbh, you could tell).

Chicken quesadilla: 5/5 If you’ve ever been to Guapo’s in Rio (Gaithersburg), well know that these quesadillas are better 😍 sorry for the pic lol my mom & I couldn’t resist… they come with 4 pieces, guac/ sour cream/ tomatoes/ lettuce chefs kiss delicious!!!!

Steak bowl: 4/5 We wish there was some crunch in this bowl. We got it with pinto beans so everything was very one- note, but in my opinion it was very tender steak, much better than your local Chipotle

Plantains: 8/5 Freshly made, you could tell by the tenderness of the plantains and the condensation on the container cover . They gave cream to dip the plantains in!

Tres leches: 10000/5 We’re literally deciding to cater the tres leches for our upcoming Eid Party 😅 there’s something nostalgic about it, kinda like if you’re grandma made it 🥰

This is a love story. Truly. I met and fell in love with my husband in 2012. In 2017, he began to regularly frequent Jazmin Cuisine Tex Mex Grill as he worked nearby, and his coworkers always raved about the delicious food and excellent service, even during a busy lunch hour. This was an experience I needed in my life. Together we began to eat there at least once a week for date night. When my husband proposed to me, we both had the same thought. We knew that Jazmine Cuisine catered - we saw their van in the parking lot all the time. It was only natural to speak to the owner, German, and ask him to cater our wedding reception. He said yes. We sat down together and chose a wonderful reception menu together. German has always been humble and very grateful for our choosing his establishment - especially given the circumstance of 2020. At the reception, we only heard praise for the food and the courteous servers. We were constantly asked for the address of the business. Our every request during the reception was granted. I have been a on burrito 🌯 run lately. I walked into Jazmin’s. 2 ladies were cooking for the other customers seated. They also were in charge of taking new orders. The grill is right behind the cashier station.

She asked what I wanted. I asked for a steak breakfast burrito. She said ok. I just stood there until she cooked the other people’s food then mine. No a huge deal but I guess I could have paid for my drink and grabbed a table. Seems like they need a dedicated customer service person.

Eventually I paid for my burrito and drink. The steak in the burrito was phenomenal!!! It was fresh and hot. You could taste all the seasoning. I feel like everything else was mid. The potato inside could have been more crunchy. A runny egg would make everything mesh well together. At least have that option for people to choose. It needed a sauce. A spicy mayo or a cilantro lime sauce.. just something. At no point was I offered to add anything just the basic stuff. Also grilling the burrito once wrapped could have made it better.
