Larry's Tavern — Restaurant in Maryland

5/21/22 Full disclosure of rating this bar as it fulfills the “dive bar” expectation. Love that this bar is a total hole in the wall. They have pool tables, massive parking lot, a large U-shape bar, plenty of seats, nice bartenders, pool tables, food and affordable drinks. I believe they had about three domestic beers on tap (Yuengling, Miller Lite and I forget what the third beer was). We ordered two shots, two beers, a pizza and the Polock Johnny sausage and our tab was under $60. The sausage was our absolute favorite, but the pizza could’ve stepped up it’s game. I would love to see more food items on their menu, but this is more of a place that you go for brews and billiards. Overall, I will definitely be back if looking for just a low key evening. Since they only have about three food items, if you’re hungry and looking for a full meal or bar food, I would not recommend this place. Great Spot! Myself and a group of 8+ fellow Black Men roll up into the place late at night and we're treated like one of the regulars--from the first time and every time thereafter.

Drinks are ice cold and pleasantly inexpensive. Music is always playing, patrons are always dancing or singing...

Bartenders always friendly and quick service. Not a huge place, but you can find a comfortable corner to park yourself in, or roam around and play some games in the back.

Go and enjoy yourself. Don't forget to tip...

I love a good hole in the wall but this place did not meet my expectations. The drinks were not “cheap” as many of the former reviews state but I get it, inflation. The whole place smelled like a musty basement. There were gnats in the bathroom that you have to swat away while trying to use the toilet. And to top it all off the owner was a real a-hole! If you don’t like the language your customers use, maybe don’t own a bar! Wish I could give 0 stars but here ya...
