Lin's Chinese — Restaurant in Maryland

. . . wondering about the 5 star reviews.

We went there based on reviews and were quite underwhelmed. Tried to use the QR code to place a phone order based on the instructions at the front counter but could not access the website. We had to beg for a menu from the grumpy woman at the front counter. (The menus are kept behind the counter which was quite strange.)

We placed our order and while waiting were told rather unpolitely to "wait in the chairs to the left." We felt like I was in grade school!!! Had we not paid for the order, we would have left.

The food is unremarkable and is probably is the worst Chinese food that we have had in years. (Even Eddie's Sub Shop in Wheaton beats them, and they are very problematic.)

Since we dislike bad food and being yelled at, we will not...

I am actually surprised to read some of the comments rating 1 star in burtonsville area this is the best Chinese food place period the other ones don't even taste Chinese everytime I come over to my in-laws I go here and order the same thing for over a year and never had any issues with the food. Minor incident however was one day I parked they close later in the evening but the lady seen me and she closed the door and put the sign that the restaurant was closed with no explanation...

We enjoyed a shrimp dish, general tsos chicken, and spicy eggplant. We asked for mustard and they gave us little containers of their own mustard - which is really good. We walked in not knowing it was not a sit down place. I give them a good rating on atmosphere because it was clean and they had a little table to sit at while we waited. Plus, the woman we ordered from was very nice. We ordered quickly, the place was clean, and they cooked our food quickly. Will...
