My recent visit to Morton’s The Steakhouse in Bethesda was yet another unforgettable experience, reinforcing why we keep coming back. From the moment we stepped in, the incredibly friendly and outgoing hostess, Tatyana, greeted us with such warmth and enthusiasm that it felt like we were regulars, even though we’ve only dined here a few times. Her vibrant energy instantly made us feel at home, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The exceptional hospitality continued when Danny, the manager, stopped by our table to personally welcome us. His genuine warmth and engaging conversation made us feel like family, as if we were sharing a meal at his own home. His attention to detail and passion for ensuring a memorable experience truly stood out. Our server, Cynthia, was an absolute delight. Her deep knowledge of the menu and spot-on suggestions elevated our meal to something extraordinary. She recommended dishes with such enthusiasm and care, striking the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth, making the evening feel personalized and special. The food, as always, was phenomenal. The filet mignon was hands-down the best I’ve had in years—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The bacon steak was a showstopper, with its smoky, savory perfection leaving us all in awe. And the crème brûlée? It was pure heaven, melting in my mouth with its creamy custard and perfectly caramelized sugar crust. Every bite was a testament to Morton’s commitment to culinary excellence. From Tatyana’s welcoming smile, Danny’s familial warmth, and Cynthia’s outstanding service to the mouthwatering dishes, Morton’s in Bethesda continues to exceed expectations. It’s no wonder we keep returning—this place delivers a world-class experience every time. Can’t wait for...
Read moreThis place is worth every penny when it comes to great food and service. I come here regularly with my Uncles as this is our favorite place to get together and enjoy a nice meal. Antonio is our usual server and he's absolutely the best. The man knows his steaks and he always lets us know what the specials are. He also is very attentive to our order and knows our nuances and preferences of how sides are prepared (blackened onions in the brussel sprouts, extra horse radish for the table, etc). What's also nice about this place is that if for whatever unlikely reason they don't cook the steak right they'll replace it without question. Like I mentioned before, the service is second to none. Caleb, who also works here is also super friendly and always comes to check that we are enjoying ourselves here.
You can't go wrong with any of the steak orders. I will mention that if you get the 42oz porterhouse to share, they serve it sliced for your convenience. I've tried every cut of steak they have to offer here. My favorites are the filet mignon and NY strip. The onion soup appetizer is very delicious. Sides: brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, asparagus are all my favourites. I also accidentally discovered you can ask for a side of blackened onions, and they are by far the tastiest I've ever had! So much so, that it will be a regular thing I order from now on.
After dinner I like to order an espresso or coffee and it's delicious. I've had some of their desserts and they're ok. I haven't been wowed by any of the desserts.
If you come here on someone's birthday, the restaurant will take a complimentary group photo of you all and print it in a nice black paper frame and you'll have menus printed with "Happy Birthday [name]". I really love...
Read moreIf leaving 0 stars was an option I would. When arrival to Morton’s steakhouse the host greated us and said we had to have all party present in order to be seated. We waited for our last guest, he then begins to get our table ready. As we’re waiting on our table this man comes over and tells me that I can not come into the restaurant because of my clothing. ( i was wearing knee high boots, Jean shorts and a long sleeve top) I asked him what was wrong with my clothing he then insults me and tells me that they are “Daisy dukes” and this is a business casual restaurant. I would have no problem following his rules if EVERYONE in the restaurant were dressed business casually. He told me the policy states that no rip jeans or Jean shorts. Which his policy states in gym shorts not Jean shorts. Not only that a young lady non African American was eating right in front of me with rio jeans. When i begin to ask okay how come she has on rip jeans and he then try’s to suddenly change the dress code and say it’s were she’s being seated in the restaurant. ALTHOUGH we’re all under one building and eating from the same kitchen, right? My biggest problem was the was he approached me, tried to belittle me. By the way he was the assistant manager. Below i also inserted pictures of another female and you can be the judge if it was business casual or not . ( orange sneakers )
Not only did I feel disrespected the food was just upright disgusting. I order the salmon with mash potatoes. The mash potatoes tasted like box mash potatoes and my salmon tasted like they took it from the ocean and put it in a pot with JUST OIL no seasoning. Just 100 0/10 recommended. I would never go back and I want the assistant...
