We have been to this location several times but this is the first review. The previous times were just average but this time we felt our server went above and beyond. We were seated as soon as we walked in the restaurant. Everything was clean. We were greeted shortly after we arrived by Joey our server. He was friendly and upbeat. He took our drink and appetizer orders quickly and returned shortly thereafter with our drinks. He was knowledgeable of the menu items and offered us recommendations. The appetizer came out timely and was hot. We had the mac and cheese bites, would definitely get them again. He also brought us out two fresh hot loaves of bread and 3 things of butter without even asking. He just seems to know what customers like without being asked. He refilled our drinks if he saw them even at the half way mark without us having to flag him down. We ordered steak and coconut shrimp abnd the Alice Springs Chicken. The steak was prepared as ordered. We did have a slight delay on one of our side orders but Joey came back and was honest and told us the reasoning for the hold up and the side came out shortly after that.
First responders, hospital staff such as nurses get a 10% discount. Joey offered thanks for the hard work as a healthcare worker and was very genuine in his conversation. Finally, he was able to tell us different dessert options from memory and it was delicious!
We want to really praise and thank Joey for the amazing service he provided, he went above and beyond. He definitely will be amongst our reasons for returning again in the future. Overall the food and service...
Read moreI was disappointed with my meal tonight. The entree came on a smaller plate than it did the last time, and it was obvious just from looking at it, that my portion was smaller than it was when I visited 2 weeks ago! Had I not asked my waiter to change my plate to a regular sized one, I would not have been able to cut my meat, without the fries falling off the plate!
The french fries were slightly overcooked and not hot. Fortunately one of the servers helping out, agreed to bringing me some additional fries that were nice and hot. Apparently this just wasn't a good batch tonight because these were a little overcooked too.
The broccoli was the biggest disappointment of all. Two weeks ago the broccoli was a beautiful shade of dark green, seasoned to perfection, and all the pieces were florets. I started to ask for another side of broccoli that day but didn't.
On today's visit, the broccoli was all "jacked up"! Some pieces were florets, others had stems. They were overcooked, and many pieces were a light green. Sent those back, and got a slightly better bowl of florets. Still not as good as they were a few weeks ago.
Based on this experience, I will not be going to Outback during the week. This is a place I will just go once in a blue moon with my family members on the weekend. Apparently they have better kitchen staff on the weekends than they do on week nights!
I wish I had just gone to the Cheesecake Factory as I had previously planned. I'm never disappointed...
Read moreArrived Friday, approximately 4:15pm. I've been eating here regularly for about 20 years. Most of the time the service and food is good. Unfortunately not this time. My medium rare sirloin was medium at best and leaning towards medium well. I usually get a salad with cesar dressing and instead received a cesar salad. I get how it can get mixed up, but in all these years, it had never happened. When a server is unsure, they ask. The sweet potato with butter and cinnamon sugar was perfectly baked and tasted great. Now onto the server. I ordered the bloomin onion petals which is supposed to be smaller than the regular bloomin onion. It was a LOT of petals. My server, Garrett, came by way too often to see if I was ready to place my order. I told him I wanted to wait so I could enjoy my petals and that I also wanted to get a salad. Since I was getting a steak medium rare, I didn't want it just sitting there. It didn't matter, Garrett kept coming. When I saw how my steak was cooked, Garrett had disappeared. I ended up eating the sirloin as is. What bothered me the most is; I was about 2/3 through my dinner and Garrett shows up and says: "are you ready to pay your bill?" Not only was I still eating, but he didn't even ask if there was anything else I wanted. I left a little after 5:00pm. Even though it was Friday, the dinner rush had not begun. There were plenty of empty tables and no one waiting. The only thing in a rush...
