I’m very disappointed in the Panera Fulton/Maple Lawn. My family likes the food and I’m the one who usually orders and picks up the orders. Because of my past experiences with them not filling the order accurately I have learned to check the order myself before leaving. I am glad I did this at the store, because sure enough, this morning I went to pick up an order and found two soufflés when I ordered three. I get it, to err to to be human and mistakes happen. However, when it is a pattern it is no longer just a mistake. They have the tools and resources to check their order for accuracy they’re just not using it. (look at the photo, they have a packing list that is supposed to be filled out and signed by the person who completed the order) I tried to catch somebody’s attention to inform them of this discrepancy and she said the soufflés where in the oven and weren’t ready and kept on walking. I tried to ask how long would it take but she kept on walking. About minute later, another employee came by to tell me they were out of four cheese soufflés and would I like another flavor. Which is fine. The issue here is they are training their customers to quality control their own orders. It’s fine if they needed to substitute an item on the order but not communicating this with the customer and putting it on the “order pick up” shelf is not acceptable. I am sure that they have a procedure for this type of situation, but based on the packing list not being completed something tells me they aren’t following this procedure. In my experience failure to follow procedures means the employee is either untrained or unwilling. You can fix one of those. From the outside looking in it appears they have a failed culture due to poor leadership. The reason for me leaving this review is to catch the attention of whomever is in charge so they can see what their customers are experiencing and try to remedy the situation by properly training the staff.

I recently visited the Panera Bread in Fulton and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I was served by a counter server named Yessina, who seemed to have a problem handling my order. It was clear from the start that she wasn’t very responsive, and it made the whole experience uncomfortable. What struck me most was her lack of professionalism, as she didn’t seem to engage with me in a friendly or helpful manner. It felt like my presence made her uncomfortable, and she didn’t seem willing to assist me the way she did with other customers. I understand that everyone has off days, but as a customer, it’s disappointing to be treated this way, especially when I’m simply trying to enjoy a meal. I hope the management can address this issue, as customer service is key to a positive experience. I’ve always enjoyed Panera, but this particular interaction has left me feeling less than satisfied.

If I could give this zero stars I would. This morning, forty five minutes in drive through line to get a latte and two bagels. Out of most things on menu. Finally got a latte (after third try to order) with ingredients they actually had. Kid not on. Spilled all over myself, the inside of my car, and exterior when handed to me through drive through. A HOT latte … Only asked if I needed napkins. Had to wait in spot for a new one, soaking wet in hot coffee. They brought it out. No apology or offer to clean off my car. Got home and my entire order was wrong. Had ordered toasted bagels, sliced and toasted with cream cheese, got home to find whole bagels in bag. No cream cheese. Not sliced or toasted? Tried to call to see if I come back and get correct order. Had phone go through FIVE times to cafe only to have someone answer the phone and hang up. Never again. Go to Starbucks

As a frequent visitor, Panera Bread in Fulton, Maryland never fails to satisfy with reliable, wholesome options and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect everyday spot for a quick bite, a productive work session, or a casual meet-up with friends.

What makes it stand out Fresh, crave-worthy menu: From farm-fresh salads and warm bowls to flavorful sandwiches and bakery items, Panera’s menu delivers comfort food with a modern twist. Seasonal soups and stone-fired focaccia keep things interesting without losing the dependable quality you expect. Quality ingredients and transparency: The brand’s emphasis on clean, recognizable ingredients makes it easy to choose meals that fit your dietary preferences. It’s comforting to know exactly what you’re getting. Reliable service: Staff are friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful—great at guiding you through the menu, accommodating substitutions, and keeping a steady flow during busy hours. Signature favorites I reach for Classic turkey avocado or Mediterranean veggie sandwiches for a satisfying, wholesome bite. Soups and mac & cheese sides for a comforting pairing on cooler days. A pastry or fresh-baked bagel to complete a light breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up.

Ambience and experience Welcoming and dependable: The ambiance strikes a balance between casual and polished, making it suitable for families, students, and professionals alike. Great for distractions-free work: A quiet corner or the cafe-style seating is perfect for catching up on tasks with a hot drink in hand.

Practical tips Fast checkout and mobile ordering: Use the Panera app to customize orders, save favorites, and pick up curbside or in-store with ease. Customize to your preferences: Panera’s layout and staff are accommodating for dietary needs and spice levels. Pay attention to daily specials: The menu rotates with seasonal soups and fresh-bays—great for discovering something new.

I went to Panera for lunch in October 2023 at my wife's recommendation. I noticed 2 things right away that literally chilled me to shivering. The air conditioning was set too cold, apparently near 60 degrees. Also, there were houseflies buzzing everywhere at the entrance and at the tables. At the counter displaying beautiful, sweet baked goods protected from customers by glass shields, the flies were crawling all over the cookies, the brownies, the rolls, on everything while the staff at the register next to them appeared not to notice. As I stared in horror, I took a second look to make sure that I wasn't just seeing raisins and chocolate chips, but no, those don't crawl around, jumping all over the sugary goodies which had pricetags on them, absurdly high, from $3 to $5 each! Yecch! I asked the counter attendant about the food selections pictured on signs high above behind the counter. Did they have the lobster roll with Mac n cheese? The answer was no, that's off the menu. What, I asked, about everything else pictured? Oh, yes, the others were all available. I chose the Panera Chipotle chicken flat bread pizza. I paid a very high amount for it and a mango smoothie, $16, and was given an electronic order announcer device and directed to wait anywhere to pick up my order at the kitchen window. After ten minutes of waiting at a table, I walked to the window to inquire about my order. I was told that the device would alert me, or my name would be called. I was then asked for my name and informed my order would be up soon, and it was. I saw no trays to put my items on, just paper bags to stuff them into next to straws and disposable plastic utensils. The bags didn't seem sensible, so I picked up my items and carefully carried them to the table. I saw no condiments at either the window or tables, so I asked for salt and pepper. I was handed a large plastic cup of combined seasoned salt to sprinkle on my food. It was all delicious. I had to shoo the flies off my table and off of landing on my own body. The only service I saw was one senior lady cleaning food left by customers off tables. I noticed that the few other customers eating at tables were high school age and a couple of parents. I took my own refuse to the trash dump at the back wall. I still can't get over why I didn't walk out of that horrible place without ordering in the first place. I'm never going back. I can't recommend this dump. It should be closed down by the...
