Positive: I am thrilled a smoothie place has come to maple lawn. I've been here numerous times and it's very clean and parking is easy. The açaí bowls are good. I've ordered many for myself and friends.
Negative:
Customer service is not great. I called after I got back to the office to inform them of not putting choc protein in my coworkers smoothie. I was just told there's nothing they can do and they hung up.
I've been here a few times and each time I've noticed a serious lack in pressed juices in the fridge. I always ask the employees are there certain days/times they set the drinks out and I just get shrugs. I asked a few questions about the 2 that were in the fridge and I was told to look it up.. I even asked if I could order one and was just given a blank look. I still don't understand the pressed juice situation. Mind you I am usually here at 12 so figured that would be prime time for a full fridge of pressed juices.
Note, I've changed my review from 5 to 2 stars based on my latest...
Read moreI’ve been going to this spot for smoothies for quite some time now. I believe it’s black owned which is awesome and for the most part I can get in and out and end up with what I want. I am knocking off a star because of my recent visits. The last couple of times have been hit or miss for me. I just ordered a smoothie this morning on the website and when I arrive and see my smoothie it’s evident that the dates were not fully blended into the smoothie. This is annoying because the last several times I’ve ordered it when I get to the bottom of the cup there are pretty big pieces of dates. I ask the employee to re-blend it and STILL chunks of dates. I make this smoothie at home all the time and my basic blender can handle the dates but for some reason their blenders can’t. To top it off the employee says that next time I order I should request that it be blended smooth…..why do I need to make a specialty request for that?...
Read moreThis is just an overall exceedingly average place. Walking in doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. The teenage staff couldn't care less if you order or who is up next. The fake fruit in the baskets between the counter and kitchen are plain tacky -- especially in a fresh fruit driven juice bar. I got the OB Acai Bowl with peanut butter added for an extra charge. I got maybe half a spoon of watery peanut butter. The granola is at the bottom of the bowl so it gets soggy -- it should be on the top like every other place. The acai was watery too and there was a pool of liquid floating on top which is very odd if this was freshly prepared. The berries were a bit sour in my bowl and it was overall just a disappointment.
I also got the mango smoothie which was better, but nothing outstanding.
Overall, lackluster vibe, product, and very poor service. I...
