I’m a restaurant manager and also a delivery partner with Uber eats. Today I ordered for a customer and called ahead to decrease the wait time to pick up my order. The lady on the phone was very rude to me for no reason. I told her I had to pay in person she insisted I give her my card # over the phone which I did. The first time It declined because I was not at the location as you cannot prepay with Uber eats unless your location is at the restaurant which I already knew and why I said I’d pay when I get there. I arrived called again to pick up the lady said I didn’t pay I said I told you I would pay upon arrival. She aggressively walks to the door and snatched my card out of my hand, then came back with a receipt and my card. I thought okay maybe she’s having a bad day or she just doesn’t know how to deal with ppl I stayed quite. I then had to wait another 20+mins to get the food, which is ridiculous as I called ahead 15mins before arriving. I assume they didn’t even start making the order until I paid which by then what was the point of taking my order over the phone. You guys need to realized that one bad reviews deters 5 ppl from coming to your place of business so you decide how long you want your business to stay profitable during an already tough time for restaurants. I will never return or accept an order from a customer to pick up. And that young lady needs to understand WE (the customers) PAY YOU!! So show some respect and be polite you don’t know who’s going to show up to your business and you just might anger the wrong person that’s already having a bad day and just...
Read moreSaturday at 4 was my first chance to try a snack here. Before going shopping at Harris Teeter, I had planned to go to Hudson Coastal Seafood restaurant for late lunch, but when I parked I noticed that I was closer to Tendou. Never having eaten here, I was confused about my options. I know very little about sushi. Was greeted at the door by a young man who wanted to know if I wanted "take out, or sit at the bar, or order from the kitchen," which confused me more. I asked for explanation, and decided I to sit in a booth and check out the menu. I ordered from a young lady who looked like Catherine Bell, a pretty actress who was on the Navy lawyer show, "JAG." I told her that, and showed her some photos of Ms Bell on my phone. She was patient and friendly while we conversed about Japan and Korea. Anyway, I finally decided to have the pork dumpling appetizer called Gyoza, which she said was her favorite appetizer, and have the seafood soup to go. Both were good. She told me about the low priced menu good till 3 pm. I snapped a photo of it, posted below. I look forward to lunch at Tendou soon. It's a cozy,...
Read moreGreat spot for sushi in the Fulton area. Their rolls are decidedly fresh with unique Japanese flavours. Even when we stopped in late about an hour before closing, the rice was warm and tempura crispy from the kitchen. Definitely made to order. They put their own twist on many of the traditional menu rolls, with fresh toppings like strawberries and such. Paired with Japanese staples like rice wine, they make each bite a flavourful experience.
Entrees are good too. Also prepared with authentic Japanese ingredients, they are equally as good as the sushi. Preparation is traditional Japanese style, with grilled chicken vs fried katsu in the teriyaki, etc. Portions are generous, and food is served quickly.
The atmosphere is nice and cozy in this corner shop. Booths are comfortable, and the windows afford a good view. Everything is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and works hard to ensure a good experience.
Definitely recommended for a delicious Japanese and...
