Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

Great Papa John's location. My daughter has crowned this the very best pizza place ever. Their food is always so hot I don't understand how they can get it from where their store is to where my home is and it's still so hot I have to wait for it to cool down to eat it. Everything is fresh. Everyone I have ever encountered there has been just anywhere from really nice to exceptionally outstandingly great. I have a sneaking suspicion they might actually like their customers. Highly recommended. And I want to add that I wasn't big on chains for a while but my daughter wanted Papa John's in particular brginning in about 1st grade. In the distant past in a totally different area I had had mediocre experiences but it's wonderful now so I don't know if it's the difference in location or just difference in company policies but everything is really good. Prices are reasonable, especially if you sign up for their rewards program because you get $10 off and for us we get that about every 3rd order. And there are usually discount codes available. Also their prices can be really cheap if you buy things that are on special.

I use the app and I'm signed up for their rewards program as I noted. I love that I can track my delivery status online and my daughter enjoys that too, and I like the ability to take my time with my order and add seasoning packets, peppers, sauces. I could add a side of anchovies if I wanted. I don't, but if you like anchovies I'm sure it's great. I also like that you can customize your order so easily in their app. What's nice about it is when you're dealing with a live person on the phone you know they're likely trying to do 10 different things and I hate being a pain. This way it's all part of their system. They have it set up so they know exactly how to do all of that already and it doesn't slow them down.

I really want to emphasize this, as it makes me happy to be their custome - Every person I've encountered in the years I've ordered from here has been really great. They are always polite and friendly. I like that they went to the no contact delivery and are always so conscientious about waiting to make sure I got my delivery safely in my door. The delivery drivers always look happy and have something pleasant to say even if it's just hello and have a nice day. They are also patient as I take this stacks of boxes from them as my family wants the pizza AND garlic knots AND the hot chocolate chip cookie, then the soda and sandwiches.... Of course I always tip them but then again I tip drivers in general because it's terribly rude not to and these drivers still seem happier than the average...

This is a really great pizza shop. It feels like it's not a franchise i'm interacting with the drivers or the people at the carryout counter because the people who work here are always so cool and so friendly. It makes it feel more like a mom and pop pizza shop, except of course when you go in it's clearly Papa John's.

This asks for a rating on "atmosphere" and so I rated it on how clean and organized everything is on that aspect. Otherwise that doesn't really apply to a delivery and carry out only place. My family have been coming to this location for years and it has always been spotless.

I'm always surprised if I see even neutral reviews for this location of Papa John's. I think they deserve five stars for every single thing because they are the best ever. I guess it's one thing if someone just doesn't like their particular pizza recipe, everyone has different taste, but other than that everything is always perfectly cooked, and they pay attention to the customizations. All of the little add-ons we order like spice packets and dipping sauces are always included. Plus it's hard for me to imagine someone not liking this pizza recipe because it's so yummy.

In all of the years and all the orders that we have placed I can recall only one time many years ago that there was a mix-up or something. It was really long ago, five or more years, and I can't even remember exactly what it was, except that it wasn't something terrible and it really is the only time there's ever been the slightest issue. Statistically that's so improbable, yet that's what our experience has been like with this Papa Johns.

Delivery is always prompt and everything is delicious and cooked perfectly. The drivers are so nice. I've never encountered any other business that had such consistently awesome delivery drivers. I'm not being hyperbolic....

So at first i thought this was going to be a 1 star review LOL!!! But when a store goes above and beyond to make it right, credit is definitely due! Tonight i ordered a pizza for me and my 1 & 3 year olds. Cheese pizza stuffed crust. Basic. Cause my babies are picky and don’t like meat topping etc like pretty much every kid on the planet lol it arrived and i got it and brought it into the kitchen and opened the box. It was a meat lovers? Pizza i guess like 25 different types of meat lol and i knew my kids would never eat it. I did try and they literally picked it apart and my son threw it on the floor. So i called the store, manager Troy got me the new correct pizza probably within 23 minutes. Like as soon as it came out the oven, boxed and it was at my door. He could probably hear my kids yelling in the background cause it’s pizza night and they wanted pizza! So thank you so much to the driver for coming back super quick and getting my babies their cheese pizza and thanks to Troy for being a great manager and making it happen! You still have a long time Loyal Customer!!...
