Good morning CEO , a visit one of your outback steakhouses. I was greeted at the door and then seeded. I was joined by my mom and my brother on this particular day. Upon being seated we was greeted by Diana. She was a very gracious host. She walked right on up and asked what I like anything to drink. I told her I needed a moment I was waiting for my mom and brother to return. Then when they came back she was right there and took out order. I stepped away from the table for a moment but as well I was returning the drinks were coming. She was a very friendly host as she took our order. I ordered the wings and she suggested some soup. So I got the potato soup and salad the pecan salad to be exact. She asked was there any particular order that I would like to get it. I said no you can just bring everything at once that's fine. The food was hot and was fresh. The soup was excellent haven't had good potato soup in years. So I think they're over again and told her to tell the chef thank you. My mom and brother enjoyed their food as well. But I know I enjoyed mine the most. The company was excellent. I offered for Diana to take a seat. I know she was working but she felt like family. Then later on after that I had another bowl of soup. I was so full but the suit was so good. I usually don't finish my food but I ate all that soup and then some. So hats off to the chef hot sauce to Diana for great service. I give you a restaurant 10 stars in cleanliness. 10 stars for the host Diana. I asked her could I speak to her manager Alex what's her name. She came out and spoke with us. I told her nothing was wrong all everything was great. I told her how Diana was an excellent host. And I told her I offered to have her come and sit with us. And she said well I would have came and sat with you as well. And I told them they were both more than welcome. We all laugh but I told her the food was excellent and thank you very much we all had a joyful time. The atmosphere was great and welcoming. So I reached restaurant 10 Stars...
Read moreMy recent experience at this restaurant carried a tinge of disappointment that went beyond the culinary letdown. Anticipating the pleasure of savoring a perfectly cooked medium rare steak, my excitement turned to dismay when a well-done variation was presented before me, falling significantly short of the mark.
The disappointment, however, transcended the realm of culinary expectations. It was accentuated during my interaction with the waitress. In an attempt to articulate my concern, I pointed to the vivid picture on the table depicting the ideal appearance of a medium rare steak. Despite this visual guide, the waitress adamantly insisted that the steak met the requested doneness, leaving me perplexed and with an unsettling feeling of being dismissed.
As someone who values not only a well-prepared meal but also the respect and fair treatment that should accompany any dining experience, this encounter left me questioning whether there might be an undercurrent of bias at play. It's not just about the steak itself; it's about the overall experience and the treatment received.
In the broader context, it's disheartening to feel that the respect and consideration one expects as a customer might not be extended equally. The refusal to acknowledge a clear mistake, coupled with a dismissive attitude, raised concerns beyond the immediate disappointment of a poorly cooked steak.
This incident serves as a stark reminder that experiences at dining establishments are not solely about the food but also about the respect and dignity afforded to patrons. Unfortunately, this particular encounter has left me contemplating whether the establishment truly values diversity and inclusivity. It's an aspect that goes beyond a mere culinary letdown and strikes at the core of what a dining experience should embody – equal respect for all customers, regardless...
Read moreMy father is Vietnam veteran, that lives with me full time because he is disabled and home bound. Getting him out of the house is a challenge, but I wanted to do something nice for him and get him out on Veterans Day, and we chose Outback because they were honoring Veterans with a free 3 course meal. Things started off fine, and we were greeted by our server Amy, who was very nice, and she made sure to thank my Dad for his service. After that things went downhill from there. Once we got our food, we never really saw our server again. And I can’t put the blame squarely on her really because it was poor planning on the management part because she got slammed with a lot of tables with very little help. I asked 3 different people for ketchup, and it took a 4th person to actually bring it to us, and they brought it in a little cup for both of us to share. I asked them if they could bring another, and the person looked at me like I had two heads, and I never saw her again. I had to ask multiple people for a refill on a drinks as well. We ordered our steaks medium, which came out correct. However, it was like cutting through and eating shoe leather. A medium cooked steak shouldn’t be that tough and rubbery. After about 25 minutes a manager came over to see how we were doing. First he didn’t bother to thank my father for his service, and second, when I explained to him my issues, his only excuse was that “they were really busy,” and didn’t offer much of an apology. It is really disappointing that on a night that they were supposed to honor Veterans, a lot of them really didn’t seem to appreciate or care they were there. The only bright spot was Amy our server, she was very nice. At least when we...
