Pizza Castle was ok. I wouldn't give it raving reviews, but it wasn't the worst either. MY girlfriend and I went to Pizza Castle to finally try it since moving to the area. I was hoping for it to be one of those delicious places not many people know about. Its a small little store. Sort of like the old dominos pizza stores back in the 90s.
The service was ok. The young woman seemed nice. Menu was a little confusing but nothing bad. One thing I would like to see next time; when they are giving out deals, you should have the ability to substitute out drinks. Maybe this is an american thing, but trying to switch out a soda that came with the pizza for some simple water was a hassle. Basically for a 2 liter soda we received (2) 20 oz waters. -__- Sooooo Funnnnnn right?
The Pizza was good. Well wait.... we order a half sausage half pepperoni pizza. Some pizza places sausage is suspect so I got the other side pepperoni because you CAN'T mess that up right? So the sausage part of the pizza was ok. The pepperoni side was great! All in all a good pizza. Not great, but good. I'd go back to Pizza Castle if theres not other pizza joint around. Right now i'd pizza dominoes because they butter the crust. (I'ma fatty....
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. I am disappointed because this is a place I've come to for yeaarrrsss, at least 7 years. Since new management they honestly don't care any more about their product. I order a small and large pizza, and was over charged. They didn't even deliver, I had to pick it up. On top of that they got my order wrong. They left 2 toppings off of my pizza but over charged me. So basically you are thieves because you are charging me for something you didn't even give me. So you over charge me after seeing that I live in a nice neighborhood?? Even though I come to you to support you because I believe in supporting family businesses? Even though I use to come here and spend my little 5 dollars on a slice and soda after high school? Wow. Spend your money elsewhere where they are happy to be serving you and are honest about...
Read moreI grew up always going past Pizza Castle but even after 30 years, I never went here. I was extremely excited to try since they have a halal menu and I gave up pork years ago.
Outside of the halal menu, there isn't really a reason to go out of the way to eat here. It doesn't seem like there's a major quality difference from here Vs. any chain. I was pretty unimpressed by the dough and the sauce.
This is strictly regarding the pizza. I have not tried any of their sandwiches, etc. which I've heard are good. But the pizza is definitely a pass for me if I'm the one buying. Not terrible by any means though, and the service was great.
For a much better halal pizza, id recommend Aden or M & N's in Bethesda. But if I'm being honest, it's not a bad option if you live in White Oak as I still slightly prefer it over Papa Johns...
