Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Maryland

I'm a regular at this location and use primarily the app to order food and collect points. As of late, the orders have either been not made intentionally, missing items, or have the wrong items about every other time I go. This initially became a problem in January 2024. I ordered food during inclement weather through the app, and they refused to make the order when I drove over there at around 6:30pm because the staff and the staff alone decided to close. After arguing with an older gentlemen who didn't seem to have a clue what was going on, a young woman came to the window ( I assume she's the new manager), handed me someone else's doordash order and apologized. I received incentives through the app for future purchases by reporting the incident as well. The app does a good job of notifying you if the location will be open. To whoever ordered a couple chicken sandwiches in early January and didn't receive it, I'm sorry about your luck, and your order was delicious.

All jokes aside, the more common issue has been wrong/missing items (i.e., mashed potatoes instead of Mac and cheese which costs extra, or tenders instead of legs and thighs, or missing tartar sauce for butterfly shrimp, all of which has happened). These issues have only been recent, so I assume it's due to a significant restaffing or new management. Regardless of why, it's annoying not to get what you order, especially when it's spelled out on a big screen and that there's no miscommunication possible since I ordered ahead through the app. I make sure to report every time something is not right if I don't remember to check everything then and there and have it fixed. I shouldn't have to think about the order potentially being wrong.

Overall, I recommend checking your food at the counter or in the drive-through. The staff has been inconsistent for whatever reason, and to save yourself the hassle, you just have to micromanage them like a Karen,...

This location in particular is a hit or miss when it comes to customer service. My friend and I placed 2 mobile orders. We were greeted upon arriving the DT. The issue stated at the window. The presenter person asked for the name on the order. Then shut the window automatically. Handle us 1 bag then shut the window and walk away. She then noticed we were still at the window. She open the window and asked what we were waiting for. I said we have second order. Handle me the bag and once again walked away. She then returned to the window. Only this time she crack open the window instead of fully open the window. I asked for BBQ sauce and jelly. She gave us 1 BBQ and 3 jelly for an order of 4 piece of chicken, 2 biscuits and 3 side orders. I asked for more sauce, she proceeded to say. We have to charge for extra sauce. I said ma'am we have 2 orders you just gave us 1 sauce. She said I understand but we charge. I was not going to argue with her over 2 sauce. so, I pay the .50 cents plus tax. This lady have no customers service skills whatsoever. She's rude and is not friendly at all. Iam a GM at a restaurant myself and this type of employee shouldn't be working with customers at all. Absolutley the worst management. VENISHA is the rudest manager they have. Ive never been so disrespected by a fast food employee in my life! They need to seriously reconsider her as an employee. Noone should be spoken to in such a rude manner. I bought food there friday night and they messed it up. So i called back and spoke to a different manager named khan and was told my meal would be replaced and they wrote my name down so i wouldnt have a problem when i came back. I had my reciept for proof as well. When i came back the next day the manager on duty was VENISHA and she told me I was a liar and would not be getting anything and i had 5 minutes to leave or she woyld call 911. I can not believe they allow such a fowl person to work in managment. I could not believe it. Needless to say she didnt like when i told her she was rude so she threatened me by saying she would call 911. I didnt even do anything wrong. I will never go there again. I advise everyone to watch out for this rude manager who goeS by the name VENISHA.
