WARNING!!!! BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS! I dont think much more is needed to say however I will. First step into the motel it smells like the sewage had exploded into the lobby area. the smell is unbearable even with your mask on! As i waited to be checked in a gentleman in front of me asked for a refund after clearly being in the room. He stated he stayed in the room for 15mins they checked it and gave him a refund bc he stated he was a cop. TO MY SURPRISE they turned around and gave me the same room! LOL. It gets better. After hubby settled in sat at the desk just to be greeted with a bed bug on his hand. He went to the front desk asked Jay/ James to come to his room so he could show him. Jay/ James proceeded to pick up the bug and flush it in the toilet! Hubby asked for a refund Jay/James suggested another room. Hubby accepted but stated if there is another incident we would need to be refunded. WELL..can you guess what happened next? If you guessed more bed bugs..you are RIGHT! Jay/ James was again asked to come to the room and grabbed the bed bugs with ah napkin and tried to leave the room. After going back an forth a bit he agreed to give us the refund which later he refused when he was behind the desk. I demanded my refund he then proceeded to say WE are the ones who brought in the infestation! In all my 40yrs on this earth I NEVER had ANY rodent or bug problem even coming from NY! We have all the coverage on our cell phone, reported this to the local police which I have an incident # for. I called in the morning to ask for my refund once more and was DENIED. I am able to get the day which was not used, however the first night we checked in after 7pm we did not get this refund and I will be filing a claim with my bank and if needed will file a Civil claim in court. After all PROOF NEVER LIES! DISCLOSER: THEY OWN ALMOST ALL THE MOTELS ON THE STRIP SO DONT THINK MOVING TO ANOTHER PLACE WILL HELP! STAFF MEMEBERS AND MORNING MANAGER ARE VERY...
Read moreHorrendous. Never again. For starters, the gentleman who initially answered the phone claimed this was a different Super 8 -- he answered "yes" when asked if this was the Hagerstown Super 8 on Blake Rd. (which is an amazing place to stay for the same price). That incorrect answer cost us time and inconvenience when we showed up, luggage in hand, at the wrong motel. Upon eventual arrival at this motel, it was a challenge to even find the door. We parked in the lot, right across from the entrance, checked in, and went to our rooms. They were incorrect beds, dirty rooms, and only 2 small square throw-type pillows for each bed. Very uncomfortable. Old, dirty air conditioner, small TV, crusty and moldy food built up around table legs, some type of residue splattered across the plastic chair, and very minimal lighting. I wish I had thought to take photos. Also a strange scratching/scuttling sound when the lights were out. I'm almost certain there are mice under the beds frames. The hallways and parking lot seemed a bit unsafe, and yelling from a couple different directions could be heard from the parking area. When we returned to our vehicle in the morning to load our luggage, we noticed our visor on the outside of our passenger side window had been yanked off the car and/or shattered, leaving behind only a small portion with jagged edges -- and as I said before, this was parked directly across from the office door! When we notified the desk clerk of this, we received only a blank stare as a reply. (Two others were there in line to complain about the hotel, stating to us that they would also never stay here again.) The rudeness of both desk clerks we came in contact with, as well as the sheer incompetence of the initial person who told us this was a different Super 8, made a horrible experience even worse. Top to bottom, the absolute worst experience I've ever had while traveling. I will never again stay...
Read moreBE AWARE OF THESE THIEFS. ||||I recently faced an exceedingly frustrating ordeal with this Super 8 motel in Hagerstown during a long drive in the late hours of April 18, 2024. After booking a room through the Hotels.com app close to midnight, I encountered a hiccup due to the transition into a new day, which inadvertently set my reservation to start later that same day at 3 PM. Arriving at the hotel at 12:05 AM, I hoped for some flexibility given the unusual situation.||||Unfortunately, the counter staff was unyielding and that I would need to pay a walk-in rate if I wanted to stay immediately. This rate was higher than my initial booking. When I asked to simply use my existing reservation for an early check-in, I was flatly refused.||||Seeking assistance, I called Hotels.com, who then contacted the hotel on my behalf. The Super 8 staff member stated they needed to consult with the manager about potentially refunding the charge due to the misunderstanding caused by their booking system. After an anxious wait of 72 hours, I was ultimately informed via email that the hotel would not issue a refund, nor accommodate an earlier check-in to allow me some rest.||||This experience was not only inconvenient but also felt like a blatant exploitation under the circumstances. The lack of empathy and customer support from the Super 8 hotel staff was appalling. I was forced to seek accommodation elsewhere, and thankfully, a competitor hotel provided a favorable deal that helped alleviate some of the stress from this ordeal.||||I strongly advise against staying at this Super 8 hotel. The service was profoundly lacking in flexibility and understanding, critical qualities one would expect from hospitality services. This experience left a sour taste, and I would recommend potential guests look to other hotels in the area that value customer care and...
