I’ve been going to this place for a long time. I started going to the one in college park because it used to be the only one they had. When they opened up in Wheaton it was a nice treat to have them so close. There was a gentleman that was always around super friendly guy and was usually at the check out counter (I’d seen him at college park and Wheaton) I’m not sure if he’s part of the management team but he was great, truly understands the customer service side of a restaurant. The staff at Wheaton is SO bad and unprofessional. Every single time I’ve gone they have the worst attitude, they gossip before attending to the customer, orders are taken incorrectly. The last time I went to this location (and the last time I will EVER come back) she was placing to-go order on a table where they usually keep them and she dropped the order and then picked it from the GROUND placed it in the bag and closed the bag and acted like nothing happened (this order wasn’t for me but I was behind the person who the order was for) then she was upset because he said that his order was taken incorrectly and with an EXTREMELY rude attitude fixed the order. Customer service here truly SUCKS and the only time the staff acts correctly is when the gentleman mentioned at the beginning of the review is around. Why would you want to go to a restaurant to get treated rudely by staff. Save your time and go to another place where they know what...
Read moreFor Starters This Place it’s Always Full of People and The Only thing I Love it’s the Food They have Consistency in their Food (papas locas and Pupusas are a Must) Dinning in (Not so Much)
With that being said , I can’t give them 5 stars on Customer service
the Servers here, They are so Disrespectful when it comes to Dealing with eachother
I have order take out all the Time after I had that Experience with the awful servers
They secretly talk about eachother and Gossip in front of people. They can tell. By the looks they give us when we arrive In my Receipt it said Alex helped me (not sure it’s him) The only Nice person that Helps me whenever I get there it’s him
He is the one that answers the phone for take out and it’s at the cashier most of the time He is Polite, quiet always minding his Business Never even listen to his Co workers Snitching and Talking behind their back. Instead he just looks down and Moves away.
If The owner could just tell the rest of his Servers to Get out the place and talk their Mean comments else where, would be awesome and that way the food would get to customers on the Table Faster because people wait here a long time for the Food. Not to look at the servers laugh and Just stare at you...
Read moreAre you searching for vegetarian options? Do you love trying ethnic foods? If you answered yes to both these questions, then you are like me! I am always on the lookout for restaurants that have vegetarian items on the menu.
I was looking for good pupusas, a Salvadoran staple that can be meat free, and since this restaurant is a Pupuseria I figured it would be a good bet. I was not wrong! The pupusas here are top notch, made fresh with excellent ingredients.
In case you do not know what a pupusa is, it is basically a thick cornmeal tortilla stuffed with a variety of ingredients such as cheese, refried beans and cheese, chicken and cheese, spinach and cheese. There is a "loco" stuffed with 5 ingredients. The pupusas come with a spicey cabbage mix and a red tomato sauce to liven them up. Personally I enjoy them on their own and my favs are the cheese and refried beans and the spinach and cheese. For dessert I recommend the excellent flan (made with eggs), though the sauce is extremely sweet!
Keep in mind that the pupusas are made fresh when you order them, so it takes a while. Be patient, the wait is worth it!
Also, the restaurant is kid and...
