We trekked to Wheaton especially for prime rib steak night since we had never eaten steak there before. Maybe that was a mistake since this is an Irish bar and grill, but nonetheless we decided to order the 16 oz. Prime rib steak. Customer service was off from the start. No one came outside to take our order so we went inside to the bar where we also were ignored for over 5 minutes but then told the waiter would take our food order outside. Luckily, we were at least given a beer since we then had a 20 minute wait. During that time, we and the folks at a table next to ours took turns going back inside to see if a waiter would come. While we waited, we noticed another table of 4 get up and leave, complaining that they had waited over 15 minutes after ordering. As they left, the waiter ran behind them and convinced them to return. Only after serving that table did the waiter come to our table to take our order. That incident alone would be enough to send even the most patient customer on their way. Perhaps that would have been the best option for us as well. Instead, we stayed and awaited our steak with anticipation; we were pretty hungry by then. When the steak arrived, it had the biggest slab of fat I had ever seen. I would say the fat slab was almost the same size as the non-fat part...maybe 60/40. We ate the steak which was cooked appropriately, trimming off the 3+ inches of fat and leaving it on the plate. Trying to get the waiter's attention to pay is a similar story....Once we got his attention, I pointed out to the fat and said that with so much fat, we only really only got a 12 oz steak, so that is all we should pay for. The waiter noted that he would have to speak to the bartender about that. Next thing we know, the bartender barrelled to our table and proceeded to "educate" me about cuts of steak. When I saw where that was going (no where), we handed him the credit card and said to just forget the $5.00 difference. He took the card still muttering as he went back inside. To my surprise, it was the bartender and not the waiter who then returned with the credit card. This time he raised his voice louder saying he took the $5.00 off and he then began pointing his hand in my face saying that next time I order a steak, it shouldn't be prime rib since it's always that fatty. I have really never seen such poor customer service all around. From being ignored to being insulted and almost assaulted, I am still reeling from this experience one week later.

Great meal here with a large group of friends. There is a bar, a dining area and outdoor seating. Great Irish atmosphere and even better food. For starters we had the Shepherd’s Pie Potato Skins. Delicious! Then we moved onto the Guinness Beef Stew and Shepherd’s Pie. Both were absolutely fantastic and honestly the best Shepherd’s Pie I have ever had. The stew was also excellent full of flavor and fresh vegetables. Others had the Fish & Chips which looked yummy and will be my choice on my next return. The food here is authentic and worth the trip. I was full so I did not do dessert (a rare occurrence) but could have chosen all of them. (Banofee, Apple Crumb, Warm bread pudding and Chocolate Pot de Crème). Some nights have specials running on Mondays through Thursday, so check it out. Our night was Prime Rib Wednesday. We were served by Luis. Great service and very friendly. Also a group of musicians showed up and just started playing Irish music. Really added to the atmosphere. A great experience and I can’t wait to go back!

In the spirit of supporting neighborhood businesses, I ventured over to Limerick Pub. Why did I do that to myself? I ordered the crab dip (no crab and covered in uncooked bread crumbs accompanied with cold chips). For my entree, I requested a medium-well burger with a fried egg and bacon. Once cut, I was greeted by a dry, well done patty. The mediocre crab dip I boxed to go thinking I could fix it up at home but the burger, the burger was sent back to be re-done. Shortly after, the older red-headed bartender returned to inform me that the cook was unable to make a medium well burger. Apparently, he’s a one-trick chef and that trick is over cooked beef. The bartender then argued with me about the fact that there was no difference between “well done” and “medium-well”. Needless to say, I returned the food and just opted to dine on beer. I’d say I’m disappointed but honestly, annoyed is best suited. If you want beer, come to the pub. If you want decent bar food, choose unplugged or one of the other options.

Hello I am Sean Hardman. I am here to tell you of My Favorite Irish Pub. This Is Limerick Pub . Its Owned By An Irish Family Of Brothers . They have very Good Wait Staff . This Place is family owned and with Very Irish Culture and Traditions that have been going for Years there . This Is Inside the Wheaton Triangle areas . Its Not Far from The VFW and American Legion and Many More restaurants and stores . Parking is somewhat hard when you have to go either to the indoor Garages or The Outdoor parking areas where you have to pay expensive Meters . As You walk in the Wooden Doors , You are welcomed with the most Irish Traditional Greeting By the hosts there On the right lies the full Irish Bar full of Alcoholic Beverages Soda Fountains and more . They have Irish Traditional Music There at times . It has a very Home family feeling here with all the decorations to make it feel Like an Traditional Irish Home coming . They have a great Menu filled with Traditional Irish Delicacies Like fish and chips Irish Reubens , To Steak and Cheese Subs , Shepard's Pie and So Much More . They have a Place in the restaurant to play Irish Traditional Darts and sometimes have competitions there . Me Being Of Mixed race I was always so afraid of the Irish heritage the way things have been since the Covid pandemic and more But I am trying to not be afraid If the Traditional Irish would give me a chance to help learn and not be afraid and instead of them being afraid what they do not understand . I maybe a Mixed race Irish person But that doesn't make me any less different than anyone else . I want to work there one day to learn what I am what I should represent what I should stand for without Fear . If they give me a chance to work there someday I will Ride for the Brand proudly and With Dedication and Devotion . If You Love this Place as I do to see to its Survival , Please help support this place to get this place back to normal scheduling and more so we all can come home to this place and be as One family again . If You Love this Irish Pub as I do This Place Is For You . We All Look Forward To seeing You all there again...

food 10/10 drinks 10/10 service 10/10 || on a pub standards ||

Seating: Decent bar seating, a few high tops, restaurant seating, and plenty of HEATED outdoor seating.

Food: I find it to be a shame when a bar has bad wings. It's tragic. It hurts my feelings. Not the case here. Solid buffalo wings served with standard crudités (celery and carrots). Nice crispiness to the skin without the meat being overcooked. I always gotta try a pub burger with the standard set up: Meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, bun. Solid "bistro" style burger. I would eat this burger and not be disappointed. I would love to come back and try some of the other menu items.

Drinks: How do I know I'm in a great pub? Here's a little dialogue Friend 1: What's a good beer you have on tap? Bartender: Guinness Friend 1: I'll have a Guinness

While there are a selection of IPAs, Pilsners, Pales Ales, and Ciders on tap, the choice of Guinness is a great one. But there's something for everyone, even in cans and bottles. One of the best selections of Irish whiskeys I've seen. Haven't tried any cocktails, but they seem straight forward, and built to appease the palate of those who don't like to drink their liquor straight. Wine list is thin, as it should be. But I think this place hits the mark for the atmosphere they are trying to create.

Service: Older Irish man behind the bar with jokes, toasts, and one liners. He forgot to put in an order, but was incredibly apologetic. I had a blast.

I'll be back over and over again. This is a great place for the...
