Based mainly on the previous reviews of this establishment I took my wife and daughters here for dinner and we couldn't have been more disappointed. First the sign is not lit up out in front so on a dark , rainy evening we missed it. After maneuvering our way through the maze of streets in the area we were able to find a spot out in front, a very tight one at that. We first entered what we supposed is the sit down restaurant part and found a private party going on with some deafening music. Then we saw the buffet part, with a few nondescript tables and chairs, ultra bright florescent lighting and a number prominently displayed. The hostess pointed to our table and then disappeared, no introduction, welcoming or menus. While she was gone the loud music from next door was giving my daughter a headache, and me as well. I took a look at the buffet items and found the saddest, most stale and unappetizing selection of food I have seen at a buffet in a long, long time. Finally our hostess/waitress returned with menus and explained that the buffet and barbecue, pointing to a man working on cooking a selection of meats on a rack, was $22.90, and didn't include drinks. My quick math calculated that for the 4 of us the total to eat there would be about $100. By then, between the pounding music and the disgusting looking food on the buffet line, we had lost our appetites to eat there at all and left, and we won't be giving this place a...
Read moreWe loved this place. I drive by all the time and am surprised that I'm just eating here for the first time. My family is from Brazil. We always go to the Brazilian steak houses, but this time I decided to come here to see what it was like. They have a nice amount of typical Brazilian dishes that it seems you won't find anywhere else. If you want to see what it's like to eat an everyday meal in Brazil I highly suggest trying this place. The only thing I'll knock is their caipirinas. They didn't taste fresh. It seems like they use powdered mix, which is fine if it was less than $14. If you like ox tail, and Jamaican places charge a fortune for it, this place you can all you can eat them for $22; I'm not sure if they serve them every day, and we went in a Sunday. The frango a pasarino needs a lot more garlic. And the pao de quejo was dry and hard. Otherwise, my tip is to not use the over the counter hot sauces. They are not authentic from Brazil. Ask for the fresh hot sauce, which they get from the kitchen and comes in oil. We're very happy to have this...
Read moreThe staff were polite. However the lady got my order wrong. I ordered something that cost around $12 and they charged me for something that cost $20. They told me that they couldnât give me a refund because I had already eaten from it. The plate that my food was served on went with the $20. Even though Iâm not the one who made the mistake in the first place. The waitress even admitted that she heard me wrong, yet wouldnât give me a refund. Thatâs just the service. I had the steak that I thought was the $12 one from the two steak dishes. I guess it was the $20 I didnât order. It was extremely salty. So was the rice that came with it. To the point where it was hard to even eat without wanting to spit it out, or have to take a drink of water after. The food looks nothing like the pictures on the menu. If youâre thinking youâre going to get a bright and fresh salad with your meal, like the picture in the menu... think again. I donât recommend this place, unless you donât mind essentially getting robbed...
