Silvestre Chicken — Restaurant in Maryland

I really enjoyed the food at Silvestre's, but their prices have become outrageous. I was waiting on my food one day and a lady mentioned how high their prices had gone up and the employee said they had gone up only 50 cents. I understand now that lady's complaint, they have definitely gone up more than 50 cents. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla, my menu said it was$8.95. I called my order in and was told my total was $12 and some change. I figured I had an old menu. My husband picked it up for me and when he got home the price was $13.99. So I went online to find an updated menu which I did and it was priced $11.95. If it was 11.95, the $12 total given to me over the phone would make sense. Now where the $13.99 price came from I have no idea. I feel like we're being dupped and the quality of the food has declined. There are too many other Peruvian chicken/Authentic Mexican places with better food and cheaper prices. I can go elsewhere if these prices...

Would NOT recommend eating at Silvestre’s on Swann Creek Road in Fort Washington to anyone. Bought food there tonight in January 2025, and my spouse has food poisoning. Been experiencing diarrhea and vomiting for hours after eating their shrimp platter. Their food is ill-seasoned, rotten or badly cooked. The food poisoning reaction to their food is vile. A friend of mines who has been a loyal customer of Sivestre Chicken on (Swan Creek Rd) asked for additional sauce and the response was less than customary on Jan 28, 2025. It was not about the 50 cent per sauce but the delivery of words used by hostess. She lacks customer service and did care that my friend requested a refund.
