One of the worse location I have been. I seldom write the reviews. Also, I understand life is not easy. I had three times bad experience in this store. The first time, I was asking for a venti cup of ice. They gave me a cup of ice but the cup was without logo. And the cup didn’t looks clean at all. I asked the lady if I can get the venti cup. She said no. I mean it was the only location that I seen that they didn’t use the standard cup. The second time, I ordered a cookie and a coffee. The store was pretty crowded at that time. I got my cookie as I got there. I was waiting with patient until the other customers were gone. I was the only person standing there and waiting for my coffee. After twenty minutes one employee came to ask me. She looked around and came back to ask me if I really put in the order even though I was holding the cookie which have the Starbucks food bag. She gave me my coffee and explained the printing paper was out. If I were the employee there, I mean if it was common sense that the employee should check if the order was printed out completely. Other Starbucks also has the time the printing paper is out. I have seen the employee in the other store wrote down the order by handwriting. The third time, it is today. Starbucks gives the free reusable red cup for the customer. I was so exited to get my favorite peppermint mocha. When I got there, the coffees were there but I guess they would not give you the reusable cup if you did not ask them. When I ask the employee politely if I should get a cup. I can feel that she didn’t want to give me the reusable cup. I participated in this event for four years. Usually if I ordered two holiday coffee, they would give me two cups. In this store, the employee just gave one and said that one to each order. How about I just separate two coffee to two orders? I went to the other location as I really want to get the cup to my friend. I can tell she would be disappointed that she didn’t get the cup with her coffee. Well, I went the Starbucks in shoppes at Shipley’s grant. They have drive thru and the employees are much more friendly. They handed the coffee and the reusable red cup to me. They were smiling and using friendly words. They always make my days. I would never return to this store even this store is closer. I understand life is not easy but I were so disappointed this store. Happy holidays...
Read moreThis afternoon between 2 & 2:30, I visited with my husband and son for a rest stop and to get some refreshments at the Jessup, Maryland location. My husband pointed to what he wanted. As I was distracted, I didn't hear the name, but I did see where he pointed. So when I was ordering, I told the young lady (I didn't notice her name), "I'd like the item on the top shelf at the far end". When I saw the words "cranberry blitz" come up, I realized that I had ordered the wrong item, but didn't want to confuse the young lady, so I just left it that way. (I knew my husband wouldn't mind.) After paying I went to the end of the counter to wait for my order. While waiting, I noticed that my server and another server bumped into each other and my server dropped the bag containing the pastry. When I noticed her putting it into the trash, I commented, "Are you throwing that away?" She nodded yes and then I asked, "Could you then give me the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish instead?" She threw her arms up into the air and said, "I can't do that for you." She seemed very indignant and almost annoyed and put out. She didn't even give me the opportunity to explain why I wanted a different item and that I would pay the difference, if any, between the cost of the new item. My response to the situation was "Do you want to replay that? We are the customers and you should be giving us what we are asking for. You have been very rude to us." The other young lady came over and said "sorry " and then listened to what I was wanting and proceeded to help me with my order. (Since the first young lady was walking over to exchange the item, I took it as my chance to get the correct item that I should have ordered to begin with. It made sense to me to ask her since she was going in that direction anyway. But as I previously mentioned, she didn't even give me a chance to explain myself.) The young lady who helped us with getting the new item was very nice and made sure that we were happy with the service provided. She should be commended for the wonderful service we received. We have visited this location many times in the past and have always been pleased with...
Read moreAs a customer, I don't understand the people that get so worked up over Starbucks in general. As a regular that comes here day after day, I watch people yell at these poor baristas over somethings so small. Sure, maybe you had a bad interaction, but that doesn't warrant being terrible to them about it. They're told to always smile and be kind, and the second they aren't consistently kissing up to customers and being overly nice, people assume they're being rude on purpose. Understand that they are people too, mostly young adults or teens, still learning about the world, and I watch people, grown adults with children, throw hissy fits over something so small. Just because you're mad over one interaction doesn't mean you should instantly report them to the company. Maybe there was a misunderstanding, we're all human and we all make mistakes. Get over it, go to another Starbucks. And making a scene in front of a busy lobby? How professional. I love these guys, they've just been doing their best and honestly, people should be more forgiving, you don't know what happens behind that counter so don't make assumptions the world is against you the second something doesn't go your way. It's a cup of coffee, no one should have to lose a job over it. Much love to the baristas! You are doing your best and that's what...
