Read moreThis Taco Bell is always bustling because it is the only Taco Bell in Columbia. The other nearby Taco Bells are in Jessup and Catonsville. The Jessup location is a 10 minute drive down Route 32 but most people aren't willing to travel that extra distance.
Taco Bell's popularity here and the lack of locations means you might have to wait in the drive thru line for a while. The drive thru line often extends into the street on Minstrel Ln.
The problem is you never know when the line will be long and when it won't be. People can get the munchies and crowd the line at any time.
Most restaurants in the area close their kitchens by 10 - 11 pm. Taco Bell is one of the few restaurants in the area that still serve food late at night. so if you go after 10, I guarantee the wait will be long. I once ordered Taco Bell from Uber Eats at 12 am and my poor driver waited at the drive thru for 45 minutes!
I give them 3 stars because service inconsistent. Sometimes you will get awful service but other times it will be excellent. That's the nature of the fast food service. It's a hard industry to work in especially considering you're the only Taco Bell in a...
Read moreI go here fairly regularly. All the staff I've interacted with here are great, very kind and polite. Service indoors and at drive through is very fast and the food is always on point. Hot and delicious. They're very generous with sauce allocations as well.
Mistakes in orders are very rare and typically the fault of the customer for not confirming the order is correct when asked to confirm (they always ask to confirm that the order is correct, which is a great practice). I make lots of modifications to my orders (sorry), but I can't recall a time that they ever got it wrong enough that I felt cheated, unlike other fast food places.
They've recently started doing a CFA style drive through with staff outside taking orders from car to car. This has let them keep up with recent spikes in drive through length due to covid, but I'm concerned for their safety since it's a loud street, which requires staff to get close to hear, and many patrons do not wear masks when ordering.
Not much else to say. Definitely one of the better, if not the best fast food option in the immediate area. Too bad about values held by...
