Alright, so picture this: It's a bright, beautiful afternoon on the 25th of May and yours truly is nestled comfortably at home, hit with a sudden, undeniable craving for some golden, finger-lickin' good Kentucky Fried Chicken. Ah, the beauty of living in the 21st century is the ability to hit up our trusted friend, the internet, and have our cravings satiated at the touch of a button. Right? WRONG! Buckle up, folks, because my journey to that hallowed bucket of fried chicken was anything but smooth.
So, there I am at 4:20pm, placing my order with all the fervor of a true fried chicken aficionado. My expectations? Simple. I want to waltz into my local KFC, flash them my name like some kind of poultry-craving secret agent, and emerge, victorious, with a hefty meal to enjoy. But, alas, the universe, or at least this particular KFC, had other plans.
Instead, what ensued was a wild saga of miscommunication, delays, and a customer service attitude that had less spice than a bucket of KFC's original recipe. I walk in, and do I see my meal, ready and waiting, as promised by the magic of online ordering? Nope! I had to linger there, waiting, for about 30 minutes. The hunger games were real, my friends.
You'd think a second plea, a gentle reminder of my order, would do the trick, right? Not quite. It took another round of explaining, and perhaps a dash of exasperation in my voice, to get them to realize, "Oh, wait, this dude did order some chicken an hour ago."
What struck me was not just the delay but the attitude — something about it just didn't sit right. Like a slightly overcooked piece of fried chicken, it left a bitter taste in my mouth. In the realm of fast food, where 'fast' is literally part of the name, keeping a customer waiting unnecessarily is a cardinal sin.
All in all, the chicken, when it finally arrived, was as delicious as expected. But the overall experience? A solid dip in the mashed potato disappointment gravy. Colonel Sanders would be shaking his head. In this day and age, efficiency is key. My advice to KFC? Get your online orders straight and train your staff better. We're not asking for a red carpet rolled out, just our orders on time and with a friendly attitude. I believe you can do better, KFC, and I hope you take this experience as a learning...
Read moreSo I made a choice. On September 8th at 9:00 p.m., I made a choice not to go to Taco Bell for the 11th hundredth time and went to KFC instead. As I glanced over the menu, I thought a Nashville's hot sandwich would be delicious, so I placed the order. I asked for Sierra Mist with no ice. After receiving it, I got my food, and I went home to enjoy my food, and I was severely disappointed. I first took a sip of my Sierra mist, which was absolutely flat, and to add insult to injury, there was no syrup in it either, so it was just seltzer water. Yay. Let's move on to the fries: soggy and dissatisfying. And finally, the worst offense the sandwich itself. The Nashville hot sauce was not coated around the entire chicken as advertised but splattered on the side of the sandwich quickly without any regard. Now I get it; working in the food industry is not easy. It's long hours, and it's quite repetitive, but customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal at the end of the day. Now, I've worked in the service industry for some time, for those of you who don't know. I've also read reviews and rolled my eyes because the customer didn't know what they were talking about. But to the workers who worked that faithful night: thanks for ruining my evening meal. I will never come to your establishment at any hour of any day. I will not make that choice again and go to Taco Bell for the 11th...

She came back to the window saying that’s all they had I asked her why didn’t she say that when I ordered and she replied oh and shut the window again called for a manager . When the manager came to the window he was rude as well as if he didn’t care and just asked me if I wanted a refund and when I tried to tell him how the girl at the drive thru was very unprofessional he shut me down and said okay handed me my refund and shut the window again in my face . She never gives you a receipt I’m glad I checked my food before I pulled off this time . The chickens nor the tenders are never fresh I I had return my food again a couple weeks before this situation but the older manager lady on duty fixed it and I didn’t have to get a refund but it was the same young girl at the drive thru with the nasty attitude who doesn’t wants to be at work...
