I didn't know what I was missing until I stopped by here to grab a bite to eat. Being from California, I've brought with me my high standards for Mexican cuisine. Taqueria El Amigo has met all my expectations and then some. For starters, they brought me chips with salsa. For me, this is a must, so we're already off to a good start. You can always tell how good the meal will be based on the chips and salsa. I can tell they make them in house, because it's deep-fried with that nice healthy crunch. The salsa was just the right amount of spicy and salty. Delightful. Next, I ordered the tacos al pastor, and they were cooked to perfection. Each bite was so flavorful, and I used the salsas that came with it for a more enhanced experience. I ended my meal with the pupusa revueltas. Just wow. Soft, warm, and packed with all sorts of flavor. I'm going home happy and content with my spur of the moment decision. Washed all the food down with a horchata, and now I'm ready to take on whatever life throws at me. I will be back.

Stopped in to grab some to go food, but would happily dine in another time. Atmosphere is perfect for the food! A friendly girl at the counter took our order and it came out quicker than expected. We got al pastor tacos and quesa Birria tacos. Both were extremely delicious and filling, and everything was flavorful. I loved both red and green salsas they put on the side. 10/10 can’t wait to try everything else!

$13 for traditional breakfast platter (to me $10/11 would be more digestible) Came with two tortillas y salsa Was good but a little expensive however I understand inflation has taken a large toll on restaurant industry unfortunately Really good salsas, red even has a little spice Plátanos y crema was my favorite part

This is an amazing hidden gem. Intimate and quietly nestled on the boarder of the city and the county. My brother and I stopped in for a bite after I had been driving past it for about 6 months. Let me tell you, there is LOVE put into this food. Very traditional, you feel like you went into your grandma's, your abuelita's kitchen. The restaurant is clean and brightly decorated. I felt transported away as we stepped in. We were no longer just in Baltimore county, I felt surrounded by palm trees and a warm ocean breeze.

We got the Horchata which was deliciously fresh and quite frankly the best I've ever tasted. All the flavors balanced well and it wasn't too sweet. Absolutely made from scratch on a daily basis. I got the quesadilla de camarones 🍤 and it was huge and fresh and delicious. I won't go anywhere else anymore. The best I've ever had. The right balance of cheese, spices and shrimp. And you could tell that EVERYTHING was made fresh and in-house. Even the tortilla chips, that were complimentary, while we waited, were freshly made there, not store bought. The plátanos with frijoles and crema was like heaven in my mouth. And the young man who took our order and served us was just sweet, kind, attentive and warm. It was really like coming home when you've been gone for a long time and they make you a meal that says, we missed you, we love you, welcome home! Please, don't take my word for it, stop in and try it yourself. I hope you enjoy it as much...

Not good. Had an al pastor torta because they were out of the ingredients to get what I really wanted ; a chorizo y papas breakfast burrito. The al pastor had ok flavor but was over cooked and fairly chewy, not the soft texture you’d hope for with al pastor. The torta was overall flavorless due to the rest of the layers having no flavor and the bread was so soft it fell apart as I picked it up. My husband had an asada burrito and it too was flavorless. The prices are also much more expensive than online shows. Total was nearly $30 for just two items. Definitely better places in the area....
