Let’s drop this draft right here! But one of the best Jamaican restaurants in Maryland šŸ˜‹ #jamaicanfood #foodtiktok #food #carribeanfood

Honestly the food was decent but not the same as the old location down the street. I understand this location is bigger with a dine in area and growth is a must however not at the sacrifice of your consumers. The stuffed snapper was over cooked and not worth the $30.00. I was stuffed with okra, peppers and onions and herbs and (4) 51-60 count shrimp. The fish was about 5in. without the head. The rice was not too fresh and a bit dry. The cabbage was the best. It was cooked and still maintained a bite. The food was delicious but to me over seasoned with salt. It was spicy at all. The ox tails were sweet and not that which you’d think would be in a rich beef gravy. The ox tails were plentiful on the plate however I’d prefer more of a gelatinous combination with the fall of the bone meat. Otherwise it was delicious. I’d just prefer spice. The goat was decent if you like goat. You would know you were eating goat if it were covered in curry gravy/sauce. It was as goat is, goat meat. Nothing special to write about. The goat was tender but a definite acquired taste. Again, i just prefer more spice or spice. This dish wasn’t spicy either. Maybe that would’ve made the dish more enjoyable. Lastly, the curry chicken was the star winner. You can’t go wrong with the star bird. Their curry chicken was delicious. Well curried with seasoning and tender fall of the bone. The flavor was as desired. The cashier was polite and expedient. She recalled my order and handed me the bags to review to ensure I ordered and received everything I paid for. I must ask if the order was wrong what would happen to the food I already cracked open-would she have taken it back? I don’t know. I just read the boxes and didn’t crack open the dish and left the store. The store itself was clean and well presentable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I didn’t notice any restrooms in the eatery as I am to assume they should be there. The atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. Customers waited around in the dinning area and outside which could potentially turn arriving customers away as it may appear people are hanging out or it’s way too crowded or the wait time is too long to place and o food order. I would most definitely recommend this place to dine.

I recently visited Tashes Ankh Caribbean Restaurant in Pikesville, MD, and overall had a pleasant experience. While the dishes were good, I personally felt they could use a bit more seasoning to stand out. In terms of value, the portion sizes could be a bit more generous for the price. It's not the most affordable option in the area, and I think they could do a little more in that department. Customer service was okay – nothing to complain about, but nothing exceptional either. It’s worth noting that the restaurant gets pretty busy with take-out and pick-up orders, so be prepared for a wait if you’re dining in. On a positive note, the restaurant is beautifully decorated with colorful artwork, giving it a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The space is also clean and well-kept, which adds to the overall pleasant vibe. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out, but if you're craving bold Caribbean flavors or larger portions, Island Quizine might be a better bet.

They have great food but they have bad attitudes, the ladies that work in there. I've ordered door dash several times due to their long lines and something always comes back wrong. I know its difficult in the pandemic but geez we are all going through this together. They should be happy that their business is still booming and successful. I'm a county resident but there are other nice places in the city that have good food just as they do. They act unappreciative to their customers. I know it can be frustrating but that's what you signed up for. It could be worse. Most places such as these are having to close. They were fortunate enough to be allowed to stay open. They still get tons of business, but now they wanna cut off things such as plantains and ma m.h e you pay separately for them when they used to come with the meal. If an order is not correct upon doordash bringing it to your house , they blame it on doordash but doordash has the order that this company gives them. DOORDASH CANNOT OPEN A CUSTOMER'S FOOD TO ENSURE THAT UTS MADE CORRECTLY. THEY ONLY Pick up n deliver. That's their job. Tashes unknowingly, it's your job to make sure the order is CORRECT! But when u call back to report an issue, they don't say bring it back , they blame it in doordash and expect us to cone there and repay to gave orders fixed. Then what's the purpose of us using doordash?? I suggest they fix their attitudes and be thankful once again that they are able to make money in such a difficult time. The 1 star wasn't due to the food, it's due to the mishaps due to rushing and bad attitudes that have to dealt with involving this company. I happen to know the owner and that's why I support but I'd hate to have to go to him and inform him of what's going on. These things have happened on more than 4 different occasions, so I've given them a break and started purchasing in the city instead. Hopefully this mess will be over soon, and they will straighten up. I still love this place but Lord knows they've gotta consider their customers more. Customers are...

I’ve been here a few times, a few times well enough that a few of the employees recognize me . Customer service is great when it comes to the men . The male employees are always friendly, dem smile , shake your hand never no attitude . Now the females side eye dem always seem fi have one attitude or don’t really wanna be talked to, you see and hear it throughout their whole demeanor. One time there was this younger girl bout my age I ordered ackee & salt fish wid callaloo why my girl mix up mix up mi food . Mi ask her why would you do that she gone say that’s how I thought you wanted it , why would you think I wanted my food fi mix and mash up . She really pissed me off and had the nerve to be having an attitude when I asked why. But not all the females in there have attitude; the older, short , brown skin woman I only know her face she is very pleasant and sweet she definitely somebody grandma . Now when it comes to the food, the brown stew chicken 5/5 every time I’ve had it . Oxtail it’s cool fr 3.5/5 could be better. Rice and peas 5/5 , white rice 3/5 mines today did not taste as fresh as it could this way my first time having they white rice . Today I had curry goat fi di first time and it’s a 2.5/5 . It’s tender good I like that BUT they didn’t burn the curry, I can tell my the texture of it and flavor . Also it’s getting the rating it’s getting because it lacks any real flavor besides spice . It’s not seasoned well at all honestly pure spice . I’m not only saying that cause I’m not a spicy spicy girl because I like my curry goat to have a little spice but it lacked any other flavor I had to season it myself at home . Wasted 27 dollars on pure spice and likkle bit of meat . It would have only been like 21 if I didn’t get a side of plantain ( 5/5) can’t fucc up plantain but yea if a small curry goat going to be 20 dollars it should be more flavorful and make sure yall burn the curry so it don’t have that...
