In reference to Xavier Moore's review about The Flashback Restaurant, I personally disagree with any of the comments written about the staff and the restaurant. My friend Sharon and I have been going to this restaurant since it opened every Saturday and Sunday and we have ALWAYS been greeted warmly by the staff, who are considered family to us! Their food is delicious and my friend Sharon is always recommending this place for a nice and enjoyable atmosphere but most importantly, the staff there is truly amazing! They are on top of their game and when and if we have a mishap with our food, they are always willing and follow through with a fresh, hot plate prepared to our satisfaction! As far as the incident that has has been described as hair in Mr. Moore's plate, the owner was apologetic and happily brought out a fresh plate. Sharon and I were there at the time this incident happened and saw and heard it all. The owner did not walk off nor did she say there is no one in the back cooking with black hair. The owner was not loud, she was very courteous and gladly made a new plate. The owner made a new fresh plate to accommodate for the hair you said was in your food. There were no questions asked by the staff, your plate was removed and another fresh plate brought out quickly. The staff love the veterans who come in and welcome them just the same as any other customer! Every customer who walks through the door is greeted immediately with a warm welcome! The staff will do anything to accommodate their customers because their goal is to make their customers happy! They even go as far as making a dish slightly different than what may be on the menu to accommodate individuals health preferences. I truly hope that Mr. Moore's review does not impact a person judgment in a negative way. If you are a regular, then you all know this place warm and welcoming and the staff are amazing. But if you haven't been here yet, you have to give this place a chance before you place any judgment on anyone who works there or the place itself! I HIGHLY recommend anyone to come and enjoy the atmosphere with welcoming arms! You have no idea what you...
Read moreThe Flashback is a great place to eat! The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection! The staff is so friendly and tend to your every need! I have gone there and sat at the bar and the kitchen door was open so I could see straight into the kitchen. To my amazement all of the orders were cook fresh and to order! I have been there several times (I consider myself a regular hahaha) because I can’t get enough of the delicious food choices they have. I definitely would recommend the Philly cheesesteak! Bun is grilled to perfection and so delicious! The burgers are also delicious fresh meat! I definitely cannot say enough great things about this place.
While I was there this woman had complained about her burger not being cooked thoroughly, the manager came to her table and gladly took the burger back and cooked a new one. This woman was rude and tried to get her meal for free! I could not believe her attitude. But the manager again stated she was truly sorry and made it right! She was still argumentative (as you could tell she just wanted something free). The staff remained polite and friendly. Again I cannot say enough good things about The Flashback!! I would recommend anything on the menu!! Thank you staff and owner of The Flashback!!
I must comment on the 2 reviews that were placed on here just before mine. I really don’t know where you to ate but it definitely was NOT a the Flashback. First and foremost the sausage gravy there is always full of sausage and the home fries are always cooked! I have had those on a regular basis and have never experienced what you are stating. Now as for the “canned” ingredients- sir I stated above that I have sat at the bar and witnessed the “fresh” ingredients for their food. I feel that the two of you are bullying a place that you truly have never even stepped foot into!! And by the way, if you get a steak sub to go and it is in a container closed and HOT the bread will have a tendency to get “soggy”. I hope people really pay attention to your petty remarks about this family owned business. For the record this is a 50’s DINER Not Ruth’s Chris restaurant!! Be...
Read moreWhile the server we had was awesome, the management HORRIFIC. I was having a conversation about my upcoming divorce which obviously was already a touchy subject so I didn’t pay attention to what my burger looked like, but it had the consistency and taste of a burger that was in the oven and not cooked all the way. I happened to look at it and it was still pink inside. I’m the type of person I would have allowed them to take that half of the burger , and just cooked it a little longer..but the manager was disrespectful when she approached the table. It was so bad I refused to eat another bite as she embarrassed me in front of my soon to be ex husband abs the customers. My ex husband approached her and said something of our experience which she argued with him!! And she was definitely very wrong. Definitely needs more management skills, hospitality skills, and knowledge of food safety and health department knowledge as she does not know much to talk about the subject. The fact that this was my first experience/visit at this place it was more than enough that I do not want to come back!! It’s definitely “flashback” in every sense of the word. My husband is a white male and was treated with respect, but me, the black woman was made to be disrespected. I will not let this go unnoticed and had she not been disrespectful, she would have known I’ve been in food service and a kitchen manager for YEARS. I’m still one now. I’ll definitely take my money elsewhere. I’m not even a hard person to please but instead of acting a complete fool after being mistreated, I paid my bill, left my tip and left. Please hire a new manager!! The only reason I’m even giving three stars is because...
