Turtles Subs Etc — Restaurant in Maryland

The food might be good, but I’ll never know. On this day, the google listing said they were open until 7:00 and that you could dine in or carry out. This was my first time coming here on a recommendation. I arrived at about 5:35pm. I approached the door and saw a sign saying “masks required” and that they closed at 6 and that they are only accommodating carry out. So, my fiancé went back to the car to get our masks. The man behind the counter held his hands up with 6 fingers indicating they were closing at 6. I opened the door, verbalized understand and explained I was waiting on a mask. He then told me if I wanted food I better come in and order right now before the kitchen closes. So, my fiancé got back with a mask and we went in to order. I got “can I have 12 mild” out and he cut me off saying wings take 20 minutes and it’s already 5:40 so I couldn’t order wings. He was incredibly rude, and last time I checked 5:40 plus 20 minutes is 6:00 (when they close), but who am I… As soon as we walked out (without ordering) he locked the door behind us and closed the blinds. 20 minutes early. I will never go back there after the way were treated. We went to Benny’s pub instead and enjoyed delicious wings, phenomenal service. Save your money, and...

I had a gift card that I sorta forgot about, but recently kept seeing this place all over some of the Facebook food groups I'm in. Everyone raved about it, so we dug it up and made our way over (ok my wife did, I got held up at work lol). Off the bat my wife texts me at how friendly the owner is , greeting and talking to her about his day etc. The bread is fresh made locally from a Mennonite Baker, and is super soft and fluffy, while also not overwhelming the sub (you still taste the meat!) We got a couple cheese steaks and they were delish. Good amount of meat, lots of melty cheese, and the seasoned lettuce is amazing. There is a bunch of great looking combinations on the menu, so I can't wait to try more. Just wish they were open just a tiny tad bit later to make going after work not feel rushed, but it's worth...

Went here on a Saturday night at 6:10 pm...my wife and a I with our 5 yr old grandson...an older black gentlemen came to the counter about 5 minutes after we stood there waiting with no one else in the entire place...he says what do you want..my wife says a LG cheesesteak and a child's burger and try meal..the old guy looks at us funny and says he is not making anything else on the grill...he says we close at 7...50 minutes from now I'm thinking..the place looked like a greasey dinner in the kitchen..the old black guy seemed completely racist and had an older Hispanic feller working in the kitchen..they were completely rude and lazy here..the worst customer service I've seen anywhere by anyone...I don't expect they will be in business much longer the way this...
