First of all, Grace is amazing. I came in last week with hair that hasn't been cut in over a year. I've been really bad about upkeep. I showed her some inspiration photos and explained how my hair has changed with age and having a kid. I didn't really know what to do with it but had some inspiration pix. She did an amazing job with the cut! We talked a little bit about how I want to dye my hair. I hadn't bleached my full head in about a decade. Jobs or finances kept me from the salon, I always did it myself. I really wanted to treat myself to a full on dye with rainbow colors. She asked me the color scheme and scheduled me for yesterday. Listen; she is an artist. Not only an artist but a seriously awesome person. Great vibes, good heart. I changed my mind at the last minute on one of the colors and honestly it really made a difference. The vibe in general was very relaxing and chill. I chatted with some of the women in the hair dye circle. The hair dye station is set up like in a circle, it's easy to chat with other people if you want to. Even if you call to discuss it before hand. Even if you discuss it before the first snip. Even if you say you're "FREAKING OUT" after the third snip. (Yes, why didn't I just get up and walk out?)
Super cute place. Super nice girls. (Well, I thought...) Just don't go back in sobbing, hoping for a sincere apology or some sliver of compassion... because then, apparently, you just have "attitude." Certainly don't expect them to say, "Oh, Amy! I'm so sorry! What can I do?" because that sure as hell won't happen.
So.
They will give you your money back, but they'll be fairly snarky about it and then they'll explain all of the reasons why their chopping off four years worth of your hair is All. Your. Fault.
This is the first time in six years that I've sobbed over a haircut. I will certainly be sticking with the Devachan-trained stylists who actually do know, when they say they know, how to cut curly hair.

Finally, when someone answered, I asked politely if there's an available slot for me to come in and get my hair cut on the same day. I immediately got hung up on. Nice customer service! Lol! I get it, you may have been busy with other clients, you simply could have said, " Sorry, we are booked, can we schedule another time"? I would have definitely considered, as I know I am calling last minute for a haircut, however hanging up with a sighed response isn't professional nor inviting. Guess I am not going there.
