I really don't wanna do this but I feel like I should. I drove about 40 mins to get to here. Sanjeev took my drink order and when I told him I already knew what I wanted he seem flustered to have to take my food order. I'm not sure if something was wrong with him. He took my order while the woman that was at the register was ducked down on her phone. She didn't even realize he took me order because she asked him 10 mins after when she finally came up if he took my order. She was not wearing a name tag but I asked her name and it was Shelby. The cook (Wes) was the only one truly working. He was cooking, cleaning and running the register. Shelby went between doing the dishes and being on her phone ducked down at the register or in the back. Two other parties were having to ask for food that was missing. One of those parties had multiple things missing. I honestly felt bad for Wes bc he seemed to be the only one cognitive and alert. I'm used to Waffle House being ghetto, it's honestly part of the vibe. But this was weird. The tension was so thick between them all (or so I felt). The party that had the really messed up order didn't receive their drinks and had to go to the register and get Shelbys attention so that they could get their bill and leave. She was shocked as he told her his food orders were messed up etc. She offered him drinks to go. I asked for a drink to go and was told by Sanjeev that there weren't any to-go cups. Shelby then asked me if my coke was diet (? Random) and I said no but asked again about to-go cups and she started searching. She found some small cups and then realized the drink machine was empty and said she had to refill it. Sanjeev then brought me my check (I'm not even done eating) and asked if I was ready to pay while I'm still eating. I told him I am not ready to pay. I wish I had cash because I would have given Wes a tip. I did compliment him as I said, he was polite, attentive and deserved a tip. I only left a $2 tip at the register. I wasn't going to leave anything however another party that checked out didn't tip and I only know because Sanjeev asked Wes (because Wes checked them out) if they tipped and he said no. Sanjeev obviously was annoyed. I've been here one other time (bc the drive is long) but the vibe was much nicer. It felt really tense and weird. I hope whatever was going on gets better for Shelby...
Read moreHorrible service today (8/17/25)!!! No greeting from staff upon entry. Rude! Waited patiently 35-40 mins. While waiting, couple came in. Couple asked for area of 2 seats to be cleared. Lady waiter A (young African American female) directed them back to seated area advising a waiter would let them know when ready. Does Waffle House have new seating rules? No longer self seating??? Immediately following that redirection, a male comes in and asked another lady waiter B (Latina) to be seated as he saw people waiting. Waiter B advised him he could sit wherever he wanted. He chose to sit at same bar that the couple was just told they had to wait. The couple gets up from seated area and takes 2 vacant seats at bar to avoid seats being taken by anyone else entering after them. Waiter A directed couple to get up after seats were vacant over 20 mins or so so she could clean. Staff clearly inconsistent with no sense of urgency for waiting and paying customers. During our 35 minute wait another couple entered, taking 2 vacant seats at bar. These seats were vacant for a while (15-20 mins or so) and again not cleaned. Waiter A directed couple to get up because she needed to clean it off. We witnessed waiter A direct 3 parties to get up after she took her time to clean. Unacceptable! Not respectful of customers' time. Finally, a booth came available to seat my family of 4 (after 35-40 mins). 3 parties entered after us and were now being served breakfast. You would think there would be a sense of urgency considering our wait. None! Waiter B (Latina) looked up at us and said, "Can someone clean off table" while she was clearing plates. Nobody responded timely to her request. A young man, Jordan did make 2 attempts but called away by cook to address his orders. He never returned to table to clear as he was tending to 2 other tables he was responsible for serving. We waited to see what would happen. That was about another 10-15 mins. At that point, we walked out and drive to Waffle House in Belcamp that we frequent often. Staff here is very attentive and friendly. I will patronize the Belcamp location as usual. Major staffing changes needed at Fallston location. That owner is...

There’s no Waffle House in my area, so coming here takes some travel time. Last week, it was completely worth the drive. Everything was excellent. Our server, Kennedy, was amazing: efficient, observant, kind, and attentive. Truly one of the best servers I’ve had anywhere.
The food was just as great. It came out hot, perfectly cooked, and arrived quickly. Even though it was a busy weekend afternoon, we were seated promptly and everything ran like clockwork. I was so impressed, I made sure to personally thank the manager, Tracy. My sister and I even decided to come back the next weekend before leaving
Unfortunately, our return visit was a completely different story.
Only two of the same employees were there, and things felt disorganized from the start. We were a party of three and had to wait for seating, which was fine. However an open table sat uncleaned for quite a while. We were eventually seated at a booth, but the table was still wet and the seats were dirty. We ended up wiping everything down ourselves.
The service continued to decline. My coffee cup had crud on it, the person making waffles seemed overwhelmed, of our 3 waffles…there was something wrong with all of them (not enough batter, too much toppings, sloppy etc.) and we had to ask our server multiple times for basic things like straws, utensils, and missing food items. The food was underwhelming; not terrible, but nowhere near the quality we had just experienced the week before.
It was such a sharp contrast that it’s hard to believe it was the same location. After how amazing our first visit was, this experience was a major letdown. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be...
