We LOVE the food here. Creative menu for a hole-in-the-wall attached to a liquor store. Definitely 5-stars for the menu and value. They have an awesome happy hour that draws a colorful local bunch (which is fun on a Saturday night!).
We come for brunch which is delicious. My husband loves the variety of Benedicts and I'll mix it up from everything to the French Toast (which my 2 year old devoured for me) to the Po-Boy (I could barely eat half it was so delicious) to Tomato Basil Soup (a current special). They had a house-smoked salmon appetizer for awhile that brought me back a few days later. Drinks are cheap. $8 bottomless bloody marys/mimosas on Sundays for Brunch....
This is where they lose a star. We had to deal with some disrespectful other customers that were there to down as many of their bottomless drinks as possible...on a Sunday morning. Its one thing to be colorful and another to pepper your loud conversation with strings of curse words. After a complaint to the waitress it stopped, but it should have been curbed before. That is Saturday night behavior. The last time we were there for brunch it was several families and some of the colorful crowd....but it was very enjoyable.
I've also gone with friends for a happy hour and "chugged a duck" - a plastic duck decoy they fill with a shot of amaretto and a Nattie Boh. Actually its delicious and fun. Loud, with lots of energy for your late nights and happy hours - so I enjoy being part of the colorful crowd....its just nice that it has...

The woman helping us seemed to have an attitude about everything. She seemed to have some back-handed comment loaded and waiting so she could mutter it every time she walked away from the table. We asked about the drink menu and she proceeded to snatch the menu from the table and flip it back at us haphazardly. She looked offended at every question we had about drinks or drink chips/tokens. When we were paying, one of my friends needed his items separate from the check. This must be a big deal there because no other place we've gone to had given us as much sass as our waitress (with her pre-loaded back-hand comment). Even after being nice and apologizing in advance, she still had a bone to pick. The reviews on this page had me thinking it would be a nice place to hang out and catch up with friends during the week. This seems more like a place for the locals that live within walking distance and if you haven't been going there for years and years you will be ostracized. Now I know my friends and I are NOT welcome with no intention of coming back. The 1 star is...
Read moreWe stopped in after seeing pictures of the food on Maps; our random visit on a Saturday late afternoon exceeded our expectations! Service is immediate and consistent, with very friendly staff. The place is very clean (including bathrooms) which shows they care about their spot. Good food and drink variety and selection. The food itself far surpasses what we'd expect at the price point. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned at a very reasonable portion size. Delivered quickly and plated by someone who obviously enjoys the craft of making food. There's not a single thing I could imagine changing. They made a small mistake when we ordered fries and a dish came with pasta, but they caught it as they were delivering the food to our table, fixed it without question, and it was a happy little accident because the pasta was incredible as well. For the quality of the food and service, it's practically a steal. Parking was reasonable for us and it's not far off the main road, so definitely worth a stop by if you're anywhere...
