Horrible customer service! We drove 1.5 hours from Dayton area to meet with family and friends for Rockhouse. Reservations were mandatory in advance. Our reservation request was for the front of the stage (easier for our blind cousin) but was informed that Honda took precedent therefore, we were booted to the back! That's fine whatever, but what really got us was that reservation time limits were not disclosed until checks were shoved under our noses and we were told to go sit at the bar. It wasn't that long after we recieved and barley finished our food before they wanted reset the table and began pushing us out! We moved to the bar as told with no chance to finish our drinks at our original table. We were attempting to find a seat but there were no seats for us, let alone our blind cousin! Yet there were seats for others??? We stood there trying to consume our $5.00 beverages quickly to leave (as there was no alternative) when management began yelling in my face with his mask below his nose! He was yelling at us to sit, so I asked him to provide us a seat and he refused. Yeah, makes sense right? 🤷♀️ Then he insisted that we discard our drinks and leave! They already got our money so out you go! The owner/manager began pointing his fingers in my children's faces yelling Covid issues, yet he was far to close to for their safety! 🤷♀️ If it weren't for the safety concerns of our blind cousin, I would've physically removed him from our personal spaces! How DARE him!!!! I'll will never step foot in that indecent, discriminatory, overpriced pizzeria again!!! Rockhouse was great but we'll see them, and spend our money elsewhere! Shame on...
Read moreWe have been a part of the Benny's family since the early 80's. The atmosphere is the same and never have we had an issue with food or service, until last night. Last month on a Friday night we ordered a Stromboli and pizza. It was perfection, like always. Last night we went in, ordered the same thing and our waitress told us it was Friday and the kitchen was not making special orders 😑 to chose the foldover instead. We did and not only was the foldover an epic fall, so was the pizza. The foldover was placed on a hot plate but was cold to touch. The pizza had very minimal sauce, some of the bacon was under cooked and the entire pizza crust was over cooked. Since the waitress was scarce, I took the foldover to her. She came back to our table and told us that she handed it to the manager who was correcting the problem. In literally less than 2 minutes the manager returned with the same Stromboli. It was not remade, it had been ran back through the pizza oven and the top was burnt. She actually thought this was acceptable. 😢 The Stromboli was pushed aside and we went for the pizza. I ended up picking off the under cooked bacon but it was so dry and we were so disappointed we asked for the check. Never in 45 years have we experienced a night like last night. I know whole heartedly that both Benny and Fred would be appalled at what we faced last night. I surely hope this was a one off and not the vision of what's to come. To start off, the table we got when we sat down was so wobbly we were afraid that our drinks would slide off the table. We then asked to be moved to another table and the waitress seemed very angry at that request. After some minutes we were moved outside to a table that still wobbled, not as bad but still. We ordered our drinks and they tasted like straight up syrup. The waitress seemed very impatient and kept coming back every couple minutes asking if we were ready to order. One of the members of our party had a question about the menu and the waitress was very rude in her answer. After some time we were ready to order and we did. After we ordered and our food came the waitress only came around maybe 3 times during the hour we were there.
Then when we were paying I gave the waitress cash and told her to break another $20 bill. She kept the change from the bill without my explicit instruction and brought back the broken $20 bill. I then gave her a $15 tip on top of the change I assume she kept.
