I spent a great deal of time looking for an affordable place to sleep while on business in the Columbus area. I booked a three-night stay in this hotel after reading the many glowing reviews. Now, upon entering the first room I got (room 426), I came across a blanket on which someone (or a pet) had clearly vomited. (There were many chunks of semi-digested food on the blanket, it was thoroughly stained, and it had a pungent odor.) The clerk said she would report this to the manager. Whether or not she did I don't know, since nobody proffered so much as a perfunctory apology during my three-day stay. (To be fair, the clerk was never discourteous and readily agreed to change my room. Still, I think the situation called for an apology.) The second room I got (room 401) was hardly cleaner. In addition to a great deal of mold around the shower drain (please see picture), one of the pillowcases had not been changed. It was only because the pillow had a nauseating smell (a stench so strong that it was impossible for me to ignore it despite how tired I was) that I found out that the pillowcase had multiple yellowish stains, presumably caused by saliva. (Please see picture.) Since I did not have the time to change rooms again (I was in the Columbus area for business), the next morning I merely requested another pillow. (Again, even a perfunctory apology was in order. No apology whatsoever was proffered.) When I returned to my room in the evening, I came across a chocolate wrapper near one of the nightstands. (I was so tired the previous night that I didn't see it.) To be fair, the rooms are well appointed (and tastefully decorated), the staff is generally courteous, the breakfast was adequate (given the category of this establishment), and the location is good (given the price of the room). But my main expectation with hotels like this (two- or three-star extended stay hotels/motels) this is that they uphold high standards of cleanliness. As far as I'm concerned, almost everything else (aside, of course, from the courtesy and effectiveness of the staff) is somewhat superfluous. Judging from my very negative experiences with these two rooms, I don't think this hotel does a good job in this regard (at least not as far as the guest rooms are concerned). I regret having chosen this hotel.

Great place to stay! Large rooms, full refrigerator a nice mini kitchen, and plenty of storage space. The breakfast was great with plenty of choices and everything was fresh and hot. I only complaint is the lack of ADA rooms with a roll in shower. Unfortunately, this is a problem with most hotels. They only have one or two so once they are taken, I cannot fully utilize the room. It would even help if the pulldown showerheads were added to all the ADA rooms. We do a lot of road trips and Home2Suites Hotels are always our preferred place to stay! If we are ever traveling through Marysville again, we will definitely stop and stay here.

Our stay at Hilton's Home2 in Marysville was a pleasure. Starting with the young woman behind the desk, Katelin, who was knowledgable, kind and efficient with my reservation. The property and the rooms are very clean, updated with great amenities: workout room, pool, outdoor gas grills and plenty of outdoor seating. The room was spotless and had not only refrigerator microwave and dishwasher but also enough room to seat 4 at a table. Glad this is a pet friendly hotel (up to a certain weight limit I believe). And there's enough lawn outside to walk them. Overall this set the standard for me for extended stay suites.

FLEAS IN ROOM 202: Very disappointed with our stay and the level of customer service we've received. Our stay included fleas in our room and when we notified the front desk about it, the staff member did not seem to care. We were told then that we'd receive some sort of refund on our room but when we received the final bill, no refund was applied. We never heard from anyone after that, we had to call them to get things figured out. We are still waiting on a call back that we were told would be given the next day. My fiancé has bites all over her ankles, feet, and legs and I myself had some up my back. My fiancé did go to the doctor and they confirmed they were flea bites and had to be given an antibiotic topical treatment for the bites since they looked bad. We saw fleas in the bed and all over the towels and wash cloths. The manager acted like we were lying about the situation by constantly repeating "we have never had a complaint in THAT room with bugs" and acted like it was an inconvenience to them now since the room needs to be cleaned and checked. We have been very kind and not rude about the situation what so ever. But that is not the service we have received in return. This was a major inconvenience to us and our stay, we didn't enjoy ourselves and then had to take safety measures for when we got home to make sure we didn't bring any back with us, and like I stated above, my fiancé had to go see a doctor for the bites as well. Again, very disappointed in the stay and still have not seen a refund for anything. We have stayed at multiple Hilton hotels and have never had this...

As someone who has worked in hospitality, customer service and marketing, I wish I could give this hotel and the staff a much higher rating. Rona, was hands down one the hardest working employees I have ever seen at a Hilton. Ronas’ attention to detail was incredible, her patience and grace were unmatched. During our 2 day stay, I watched her every breakfast make sure everything was fully stocked, cleaned and ready. Rona noticed we had to leave early for a soccer game and opened breakfast a couple of minutes early so the kids could eat. When people left their table, she was there cleaning. Busy or slow, Ronas work ethic didn’t change. You have an outstanding employee, please be sure to give her the recognition she deserves. I don’t recall the name of the gentlemen at the desk, I believe it was Christopher. Christopher checked us in Friday night, efficiently, respectfully and made sure to ask if there was anything we needed for our stay. With 2 or 3 different soccer teams staying at the hotel, over 30 kids. Christopher didn’t let that phase him. Christopher was attentive and friendly during check ins, customer needs and completely exceeded our expectations. He checked to make sure the floors outside the pool door were dry every spare minute he had. Just amazing!!!! The hotel is model, beautiful and fresh. Our room was clean, stocked and comfortable. I highly recommended this hotel to any traveler....
