Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Marysville

My daughter saved up money to buy her and her little sister ice cream from DQ. She was so excited. She wanted to use her own money. She paid in quarters and we apologized to the associate at the register for the denomination, but it literally was only quarters (no pennies, no nickels, etc.) We even left a tip in the jar for any inconvenience that might cause.

The associate at the register made a big stink about this transaction being in quarters. She acted very upset and irritated. I know quarters aren't as easy as a card, but my daughter was so excited to pay for it with her own money. Huffing after throwing each quarter into the drawer, the associate turned to her coworker and loudly exclaimed, "Kelly is going to be SO MAD when she counts this drawer in the morning."

So, I want to apologize to Kelly for any problems our money may have caused, and I want to apologize to the associate at the register for apparently ruining her evening. Next time, we will go to the Italian ice place next door. They are always so sweet and kind to our girls when we go there. We really should have just went there in the first place--and most definitely will ONLY go there this upcoming...

Constructive Criticism:

My last time in was for an online order. I was surprised that there were no lids on the blizzards when I was given my order. I asked for lids but the ice cream was over the top of the brim and the lids that were presented to me were flat and could not be used. I subsequently ended up with melted ice cream all over my center console.

Synopsis: No lids = Bad :( Extra ice cream = Good! :) Flat lids = Bad if Ice cream overflowing :(

Solution 1: Don't overflow the cup and flat lids will suffice. Solution 2 (Recommended solution): Continue to give that tiny extra little bit of ice cream but provide the tall lids because at the end of the day we all know "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!"

Extra ice cream + Tall lids = 5...

It was a hot day and the ice cream was good. What more do you want! I only went through the drive thru and it was quite fast compared to other DQ's I have visited. The quality is what you expect and they did a good job with the Blizzard toppings. I give it five stars mainly because I really like a Blizzard from time to time and if they do it right, which isn't always the case, I give it a high grade when compared to other fast food franchises. This isn't a five star foody establishment, but it gives you want you want at...
