This place has gone downhill since Sob and Raj from India/England bought it. As expected. We spent $40 for two meals, no extras. It was fast, and the local teens working were a refreshing relief from the usual owner, Raj, who is horrid. Our sodas came out with crushed lids on both, I asked for new ones, the teens informed us that there aren't any uncrushed ones the owners have all crushed lids and won't replace them until the damaged ones were used. Guess my $40 doesn't ride home without wearing my soft drink on my new shirt. I don't know what cheap ketchup they are using, but it's watery and sour! Disgustingly sour. Definitely not the All American brands that it was prior. I'm disappointed in this place now and after hearing the owner state, to another employee, that they bought it to make money to send to India and when they have enough they're packing up with the Americans money and going back. I won't provide them with another red cent.
THE ONLY POSITIVE WAS THE KIDS WORKING. THEY DESERVE BETTER!
**Upon leaving my husband noticed that on the emergency electric shut -off panel box, clearly labeled "EMERGENCY SHUT OFF," it was locked with not one but 2 giant padlocks So much for emergency quick access! As for the owners response. I worked briefly almost a decade ago at the restaurant. I will refrain from elaborating on the illegal activity that caused me to leave. If I had only a grudge, I am confident that I would have made a review at the time as well as reported the illegal activity taking place AT time....ALMOST A DECADE AGO. However, the issues I reviewed were not even addressed, or have you shown any concern about what soever goes to show, when Im right I am right . I gave an honest review of a local spot that was a place regulars frequented when George and prior owners ran Frosties, aka Rockies. Now it has been bought and is being used to fund your families interest in your home country, at the expense of yuba locals American dollars. I can prove that as well. If you'd like, I was trying to make this as a catalyst for better change, but you chose otherwise. My husband is a lifelong local who used to frequent the establishment prior to your ownership. As are his many friends and colleagues. I'll have him and his many friends respond via review as well to their accounts of the poor service and changes. It was his opinion that prompted me to review. Despite your slander of a decade old event, I had not even considered it, but it seems the grudge is one you hold. Have a great day. Try being a decent owner and quit gouging the Yuba Sutter residents, make a good burger like Frosties use to provide and respect the community that supports your ticket back to India with our hard earned American Dollars. Least you could do. TRY ADDRESSING THE ISSUES IN THE REVIEW. TRY NIT RESPONDING CHILDISHLY BY DEFENDING YOUR POOR BUSINESS MANAGMENT WITH RIDICULOUS EVENTS OVER A DECADE AGO. I WORKED THE 10 YEARS AGO. THAT'S THE...
Read moreWe all look for the Mom and Pop burger joint. I don't live in Marysville but my line of work brings me here four or five times a year. This place has always intrigued me because it's next to a ballpark. In Redding Gene's is next to the park where the 45's play and they are a local landmark. Sadly, Marysville has not found that path. It has changed ownership many times over the few years I've kept an eye on it. This last visit was encouraged by a new flashy appearance with a vending machine in the front window. Hmm. Perhaps a change of pace. I ordered the standard issue burger but wanted to add bacon. While performing an act of ignorance and confusion, the young man behind the counter skillfully navigated me on the menu to my cheapest option with graceful civility. (I thought it was a girl at first but since it's obvious that's what he is going for I'm sure this won't be offensive.) Order came fast. And that's where the pleasantries end. The facility is pleasantly nostalgic with the feal of our younger days including a key for the bathroom. That's home to me. But the burger is a very thin patty that was very over cooked. Bacon was over cooked as well. Powdery flakey soft crunch. Fries had obviously been cooked long ago and kept under a heat lamp. The kiss of death was that no matter what soda I tried from the fountain they all had the same dusty moldy taste of a soda fountain that needs to be cleaned per manufacturer standards. I appreciate the effort of a hometown burger joint. There will always be a special place in my heart for them. With some critical encouragement I think this joint could do good. Fast food is fast. But...
Read moreSo much for our little ice cream spot Frostys Grill in Marysville This afternoon shawn and I went there and ordered burgers, well as I was putting mustard on my burger I pushed down on the spout and it shot all over me on my Clothes, I then looked, and it looked like the tip of it had not been cleaned in a very long time. And that's why it did what it did. But that's not really what upset me. What upset me is two of the Workers thought it was real funny, no apology nothing, so now of course I lost my cool and freaked out, the Manager/owner walks out looking like she just rolled out of bed and hadnt taken a shower in a few days (i hate to think she was cooking my food) i asked her for soap and she directs me to the outside restroom . REALLY? After what just happened, she couldn't have gotten me a little soap to Clean up. Never will I go there again, Besides their ice cream which they really can't screw up. Their food wasnt good at all not like when the previous owners had the place. Needless to say im still fuming from my ridiculous ordeal so Brocks Ice cream here we come. And don't let me forget to add how filthy...
