Visited Kitschen Bakery this past weekend. Had the chocolate cake and shoo fly pie. Both were delicious. Being a southeastern PA gal, the shoo fly pie is one of the best I have tasted. Loved the buttercream frosting on the chocolate cake. While I was there, a kids' Easter event was going on. Kids had a great time dying eggs with natural food dyes, icing cookies, coloring springtime pictures (which are posted around the chalkboard), and doing an egg hunt for prizes. Kids had a great time. The staff is always helpful and friendly. A shout out to all who work there and especially to the owner, Katy. (Let's not forget the owner's husband, Drew, whose support is priceless). What a gem of a place!! Stopped in here while visiting friends and I was pleasantly surprised! Tiny place with big flavors! I unfortunately don’t have any pictures because it was simply gone too quickly! I ordered two baguettes, two popovers with jam, one cheese danish, one giant brownie, two blueberry scones and a piece of chocolate beet cake. Everything was delicious but my favorites were the scones and the chocolate beet cake. Both were exceptional! Will definitely visit here again. Highly recommend.
