Big Kahuna Wings - Maryville — Restaurant in Maryville

Love the wings so we are super happy to have a Maryville BKW! We ordered over the phone for take-out. They were slammed when we went (it just opened so expected) and noticed a few sauces and a side of fries missing while picking up but they corrected it and staff apologized profusely. We check food at the restaurant EVERY TIME so we don't have to get disappointed at home haha. It wasn't a big deal and the man who kept apologizing kept a super positive attitude and that was very much appreciated! Food was amazing. All 30 wings with the sauces we chose were delicious, my son loved his boneless wings (they are SO good with the original seasoning), and the avacodo dip with chips was so fresh and tasty. They don't toss the wings and the sauce cups are a little on the small size but I tossed them in the different sauces at home and it was plenty for that. They have really good ranch too! I know that's a big deal. 🤣

My only wishes are that you could choose an "all flats" option and that they would label the ramekin sauce cups. Just some initials in sharpie on the top would be just fine. We tried Big Kahuna on a Saturday evening and did take out. We were very disappointed in most of the food. The fried ribs were dry and tough. We could not chew them off the bone, nor could we pull the meat off the bone. I’ve never had a rib that tough! We also tried the chicken tender plate, but they looked nothing like the online photo and had no real batter/breading. It seemed they had some sort of seasoning but then were just fried? No batter/breading. It just was not what we were expecting at all. The Mac n Cheese bites were pretty tasty so I give them credit for those! The French fries were also tasty, but I was sure hoping for some meat with dinner. Last night was the first (but definitely not going to be the last) time we tried BKW. I only leave 5 star reviews when I’m beyond impressed and BKW is BEYOND impressive. Yes it’s a wing place but my husband and I both agreed that not one thing was even sub par. Seasoning to the heavens on everything, fries, wings, pulled pork, chips, pickles, Mac and cheese, kids food, EVERYTHING was seasoned, tender but crispy. Big ole wings, period. Pulled pork was incredible and flavorful not just smoky.
