Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Massillon

Decided I would stop and get pizza, before I left work I ordered online at 5:45 for pickup at 7:30. I arrived at the store at 7:38 and my order was not ready. They told me it was in the oven and it would be brought out in 10 minutes. At 7:50 the food was not out so I went back into the store. And was told my order was not even in the oven yet, but should be done in 6 minutes. At 8:10 the food was still not out. I went inside, I stood inside and watched them make the pizzas, after 5 minutes the manager on duty (or I am assuming since she was the only one in a collared shirt) said I needed to stop giving them "nasty looks" she knows my food is not done but they are working on it. I told her I was not giving nasty looks I was watching the "employees" fail to do their job. It had been 2.5 hours since my order was placed and 45 minutes since it was to be done. She turned and stormed away. My food was finally done at 8:20 50 minutes past the time it was to be done. The manager was not appologetic and did not even care enough to do more than walk in circles and get nothing accomplished.

In my time there I noticed several other issues as followed: Staff were not in uniform or wearing it correctly. No one was wearing their aprons, some were not wearing a uniform at all, and no one had safty tred shoes on. No staff was wearing gloves to touch and box finished food after it passed the oven. Only one staff member on the line had a hat on and that was because he has shoulder length hair that was not tied back. In my 50 minutes spent at this store not a single person washed their hands EVEN WHEN THEY CAME BACK INSIDE FROM DELIVER AND GOT ON THE LINE. They would touch the register or the phone and immediately go back to touching food. Or move a trash can and then touch food. Staff on line would touch their face or move their bangs/glasses and then continue to make a pizza without washing...

I would give a zero star but this is as low as it would let me go.....I use to get pizza from here but when someone I knew use to work there but left told me about alot of nasty things on the inside an the person who took over is going to run this place way down.....I went there just to pick up someone from work an the general manager was dealing with her own personal issues...which I believe should be left at the door of any work place, she was very rude they kept a person well past the 2 hour mark of when she was allowed to hold said person there even though the person got off at 9pm the general manager an the district leader I'm assuming she is jen kept trying to keep this person there everytime they tried to leave out the door. When they close the store the general manager as well as maybe another employee would be standing outside goofing around with friends rather then closing an cleaning up the store....an only one employee would be actually doing what they are suppose to be doing. The general manager also doesn't know how to do her job either. There are alot of Health code violations in this store....so for anyone thinking about ordering here I would not cause with the way everything is arranged they will have rats again. They don't clean things the way they should thought the day or at close. They mostly lolly gag around an think it's social time during close. Also the general manager is not even certified to be in the position...

I made an order via the app. After picking up my order, I called and advised a pizza topping was missing. I was met with a very negative attitude from the manager, who after he matter- of- factly told me how the order came through, made a sarcastically filled attempt to offer me a replacement. He talked over me and rudely interrupted me. I advised I do not want a replacement, due to his behavior. I asked for the store number to file a complaint. The manager stated it would just go to him anyways, and he was looking forward to my complaint and h/up on me. I called back and asked for the manager's name. The person said it was him and gave his name as Terry and the district manager as Jen. I asked for his last name and he refused. He gave store #207. The store address is:1206 Lincoln Way E. Massillon, Oh 44646. Terry was very unprofessional and very rude. Something so small could have easily been resolved, but Terry was more focused on telling me how the app order came through and basically saying my complaint will fall on deaf ears. I hope that is not the case. He made this a very unpleasant experience and I won't be ordering from Papa John's any more, nor will I reccomend anyone else to do so. I WILL let others know of this...
