We came here for Valentine's Dinner. We have decided that our waitress was much of our problem. Our food was served luke warm and had very evidently been sitting waiting to be served. We ordered a gimlet and a chocolate covered raspberry to drink. These were both 5 star drinks. For apps we ordered a side salad with homemade ranch dressing, the meatball nirvana, and the loaded tot skewers. The ranch dressing wasn't my favorite but it was good The tot skewers were ok, but I wouldn't order again. The meatball nirvana was absolutely delicious. The only downfall to this app was that we were only given 2 very small pieces of bread and weren't able to eat all the sauce leftover. It should definitely be served with more bread or there should be a basket of bread for the table readily available (especially because the food takes a bit of time to arrive. Our meal start to finish was 2.5 hours)
As main dishes I ordered the caesar parmasean crusted chicken and substituted that to be on top of the Penne pasta. They charged us an extra 7 dollars for this substitution (she told us it would be 6 dollars) and they didn't give me the correct thing. I saw a person next to us order the penne with chicken. What i received was a small side of pasta, with no ricotta and the chicken on the side. I asked for the ricotta to be brought up. The noodles had a crunch to them and were very bland. The chicken was not what I was expecting but was good, a little tough, but good. I was expecting the chicken to be dredged and breaded. It was dipped and coated if that makes sense. My husband had the steak and ramen. Again, it lost a lot of flavor and heat from not being served right away. He stated his steak was good but the ramen was very lacking in flavor.
For dessert we ordered red velvet cake, death by chocolate and prosecco Grapesicles. The Grapesicles were fun to try, the cakes were very run of the mill, seemed to have come from a storebought cake. We did not finish them.
As for atmosphere: obviously the place is gorgeous!! It stinks that the windows overlook a busy, not so nice street. It is definitely chilly if you are sat by a window.
Lastly the music. It was a club type music being played and did not at all match the vibe of the restaurant. Should have been jazz standards or something similar.
All in all if we go back we hope to have a waitress a little more on it (it wasn't just us, the table next to us left without ordering). We also would get drinks and the meatball again, ask for rolls (as a nearby table was given) and maybe try a handheld or other apps.

Read moreI brought my husband here for his birthday - wanted to try something new and different. We both agree it was our favorite local dining experience to date! The home is absolutely beautiful! Our reserved table was not available when we arrived so we headed upstairs to the third floor lounge. Passing through the second floor, there were no people there, but it looked as though that area is designed for small parties/meetings with larger tables set up in individual rooms. Made a mental note to look into hosting a small event here in the future! The third floor lounge is beautiful! Loved the first drink I tried (called Figure it Out) and stuck with that for the night. My husband had two other drinks which were also great, but we both thought the figgy drink is where it’s at - we’d return just to hang in the lounge and enjoy one (or a few) of those! Once our table was ready, we headed back downstairs to the first floor. The environment was very intimate yet spacious! The decor and woodwork are beautiful. We wanted to try so many things from the menu, so we each got an appetizer, dinner and dessert. Portions sizes are perfect, presentation was beautiful, and and everything we tried we would order again! My husband ordered the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. The service was top notch! Our server remembered that I mentioned it was my husbands birthday when I made the reservation, so she brought out his carrot cake (which he said was the best ever) with a candle in it. Lovely touch! Other than our table not being ready for about 45 min later than our reservation (due to the prior guests lingering in conversation) everything was perfect. And honestly, we are glad our table wasn’t ready because we probably wouldn’t have wandered up to the third floor otherwise. We’ve dined at other houses/mansions so I was really excited to see this one had opened so close to where we live, and I was looking forward to surprising my husband. My expectations were definitely exceeded in all categories: atmosphere, cleanliness, service, presentation…but above all else, the food. My husband was so happy with the experience and it made for a great birthday dinner. We will definitely return and we will be recommending this beautiful...
Read moreI wanted to try this place for a long while but was so disappointed in the food, I will not go back. It's a lovely venue with an old historical building. The place was at capacity so the noise level was terribly loud and not relaxing. We practically had to yell at one another to be heard. Sadly, none of my food was good. From the bread to the salad to the steak bites to the smashed red skins....all had problems!! A high end restaurant should start with great, fresh bread for customers. Sadly the bread that was served to us was dry and stale. Then the $7 salad was nothing but lettuce with 3 or 4 slivers of parmesan cheese with zero flavor. Usually parmesan cheese has a lot of flavor but this was not the case. The Balsamic dressing was also bland. There was No salt & pepper at the table and we had to ask for it twice. I thought things couldn't get worse but when the steak bites arrived I could only take one bite. It was supposed to be filet but was way overcooked, resulting in dry, rubbery bites. The steak bites were floating in a bizarre tasting sauce which was overly salty and very strong tasting with the presence of herbs and rosemary. I took one taste of the steak bites and called the waitress over and told her it was inedible. She asked if I wanted something else and I said No (after strike 3 with the bread, salad and steak bites). I told her I would eat the smashed redskin potatoes I ordered as a side....but when I tasted them, they were so drenched in garlic, they too were inedible. They were also way overcooked and tasted heated over. I had the waitress remove the steak bites from my bill as well as the potatoes. I think this place has potential due to the lovely building but they need a new chef with some different recipes and perhaps a new menu. What stood out was the improper use of seasonings, either too little or too much and my food was way overcooked. Their prices are rather high but I don't mind paying for a high...
