Rockne's — Restaurant in Massillon

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch. We each ordered grilled cheese and tomato soup. And we shared a nacho appetizer. The one star is for the nachos which weren’t bad. The tomato soup came out with pita triangles… where to begin. The pita was raw dough (or was really wet) and inedible but was better than the soup 😳. The soup was super thick and tasted like tomatoes mixed with cream and brown sugar! So we thought, ok, maybe the grilled cheese won’t be too bad. It came nearly 15 min after the soup… I thought everyone served grilled cheese and tomato soup together? But what do I know. So, the grilled cheese. Grease was dripping off it and it tasted like butter flavor oil, the cheese was something that looked like cheese. We each ate a few bites of the sandwich. My stomach was getting uneasy from all the grease so I decided to eat the pickle 😂. It was like it had been soaked in some type of cleaner. When the waiter came back over he offered us to go containers. We politely declined and explained we didn’t want any of it because it was terrible. He apologized and I said- it’s ok! It’s not your fault. He said- you’re the nicest person I’ve waited on today. Then brought us the check. $60!! Didn’t offer to discount our meal, or at least take off the $16 soup. So we just want to go home at this point…. We stopped to use the restroom on the way out…. 🤦‍♀️. The one sink had two fake plants just sitting in it. The main sink had auto faucet that turned on as I put my hands under. I reached beside it to get soap… oh it wasn’t soap. It’s a second faucet, in the same sink 🤨 You push the button and get water ?? The soap dispenser next to the sink is also empty. Luckily there was hand sanitizer on...

Worst experience ever. I've been visiting rocknes for the last couple years and it's my third visit to the one off 21 in Massillon.. my server Nick got my entire order wrong..ordered water without lemon he brought me water with lemon ordered the fajita meal (it's the only thing besides the Ruben that I order) with no onion or Pico because I'm allergic to onions not only did it come out covered in onion but he claimed he didn't see any...he took my food to the back a few minutes later it came right back out with onions still through it that they didn't get picked out...theres no way in the few minutes that they remade my meal then they had every excuse as to why the onions were in it...again I've been coming to rockneys for years getting the same thing and never had a problem b4... The manager did offer to take my meal off. Which was nice of them since I couldn't eat 1 bite... I came out to enjoy dinner with friends and family and my night and experience was completely ruined.. It would have been a hospital stay had I not looked over my food good....thanks rockneys for almost hospitalizing me I will never be back the whole experience was...

We had the worst experience at Rockne's. Things started off fine with waiter 196 took our drink order I asked for unsweetened ice tea with 2 lemons got 1. Then we ordered and I ordered the side salad & cup of soup my son ordered mozzarella sticks & mac & cheese bites. I ordered my salad a special way, just lettuce, carrots, cucumbers & croutons. It was served with egg & cheese which I don't eat ( never had a problem ordering it that way till tonight). We weren't given straws with are drinks but the waiter said he'd bring some, we waited never brought them . So I went to the bar area to get some and saw the waiter mocking me about the salad to another employee. Salad came but the waiter didn't serve it ( no croutons I said nothing). Soup was served but not by the s erver but someone else ( not the cup I ordered but a bowl). My son's order was over cooked and hard. Rockne's wasn't really busy tonight for things to be so bad. Very...
