Seriously, why is it that your prices online look like they’re stuck in a time capsule from 2021? I mean, if the internet is good enough to instantly tell me the weather in Bolivia, I think it can handle updating a breakfast menu once every three years. Just a thought.

But wait — it gets better. I call in to point out this time-travel pricing situation, expecting maybe a “thanks for the heads-up” or “we’re working on it.” Instead, I get Miss Attitude 2025 telling me, and I quote, “that’s from years ago.” Oh, well in that case, my bad! Please, let me just recalibrate my expectations to match your 2019 Google listing. 🙄

If it’s from years ago, don’t you think… I don’t know… maybe take it down? Update it? Bury it in a ceremonial breakfast funeral? Something?

Look, I come here a lot. Like, a lot. The food is usually great, and the service? Normally on point. But this? This was a hot mess served with a side of sass.

I call back, trying to get some clarity (and maybe a name, because accountability, hello?). She’s suddenly in Witness Protection — won’t give her name — but she does toss me to the manager like she’s done dealing with peasants for the day. He explains that Google has outdated prices online — okay, fair enough — but then says, “In those cases, you should ask for a manager.” Oh cool, yes, because when someone’s already being snippy and dismissive, my first thought is, “I’d like to escalate this awkwardness immediately.”

And then he defends her! Says she did the best she could. Oh, is that what we’re calling sarcasm and slamming the phone down now? “Doing your best”? If that’s the standard, I’ve got a raccoon with a headset who’s also “trying his best.”

I get it, maybe it was a rough morning. Maybe the toast got burnt. But come on. This isn’t the level of service I expect from my go-to breakfast joint — the same one I’ve bragged about to people like it’s some hidden gem. Y’all were my safe place. My bacon-scented haven. And now? Now I’ve got to consider driving an extra five minutes to First Watch, which — let’s be real — is just as good and doesn’t serve me a side of attitude with my eggs.

So yeah, I won’t be back for a bit. Maybe I’ll forgive you. Probably will. But you’ve lost your “immediate go-to” status for now. Do better. You’re capable. I believe in you — even if your Google menu clearly still...

Stacks Kitchen is a hidden gem that offers a delightful dining experience, blending comfort food with a modern twist. Located in a cozy corner of the city, the restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions.

Food: 5/5

The menu at Stacks Kitchen is a creative fusion of classic and contemporary dishes. Their signature stacks-whether pancakes, waffles, or savory options--are beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied. Standout dishes include the Red Velvet Pancakes, which are light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet, and the Chicken & Waffle Stack, which balances savory and sweet with a crispy, golden finish. For those with dietary preferences, they offer a variety of vegan and gluten-free options, all equally delicious.

Service: 4.5/5

The staff at Stacks Kitchen are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They go out of their way to accommodate special requests and ensure a pleasant dining experience. The only minor drawback is that during peak hours, the service can slow down slightly, but the quality of the food more than makes up for the wait.

Ambiance: 4.5/5

The restaurant has a rustic yet modern vibe, with chic decor and comfortable seating. The open kitchen concept adds a lively touch, allowing diners to see the chefs at work. The lighting is warm, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment. However, the space can get a bit noisy when it's crowded, so it might not be ideal for those seeking a completely quiet meal.

Value for Money: 4.5/5

While Stacks Kitchen is not the cheapest option, the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the dishes justify the price. The portions are large, and the flavors are memorable, making it a worthwhile dining experience.

Overall: 4.75/5

Stacks Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and satisfying meal. Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast, a decadent brunch, or a savory dinner, this place delivers on all fronts. Highly...

I didn't fully enjoy my food. It Was recommended to me by the waitress at the bar to get a lumberjack meal with a side of grits because of what I wanted to try. Initially I told her I wanted a grits eggs liver mush meal with rye toast but then I saw some French toast come out and she said I could do the lumberjack meal that would give me everything in the regular meal that I had just ordered with the option to choose whichever French toast as a short stack that I wanted and order a side of grits.

My scrambled eggs were room temperature and my grits would not melt the American cheese, it barely melted and the grits were not as hot as I would have liked them because the point of getting cheese is for it to melt in the grits to help make the grits creamy.

Upon leaving I went to go pay and my food was way more than what I expected, and the gentleman at the front I didn't like that he was speaking so loud to me where everyone else could hear me asking him questions and I don't know if it was intentional or if he was trying to embarrass me or not. However, I had the funds to pay - that is not the issue, the issue was that he said they were charging me and extra $1.00 per toppings on the French toast, bananas on top of the French toast, strawberries, the candied walnuts, although this fruit was supposed to come with the particular French toast which was the STACKS short stack. I told him that was not explained to me because I didn't understand why would I be paying for extra for fruit to come on top of the French toast that is clearly indicated and labeled on the menu that it comes with this and it doesn't say there's an additional charge or upcharge.

It just rub me the wrong way, and He didn't even apologize for the confusion nor did he offer to correct my receipt. I probably will not come back for a while, if ever again because I just don't appreciate supporting a business and if there's any confusion it should be cleared up and handled appropriately, as in...

Everything was so good. I found this place on Tik Tok and it did not disappoint!! You must try the blueberry pancakes and the biscuit and gravy is the best! And the prices were very reasonable
