Three of us went there at 5:00 on December 23. There were just a few tables occupied at the time. We sat down and looked at the extensive menu. Our water, tea, chips and salsa were brought to us while we looked over the menu. We took our time. The waitress never came back to check with us. We could hear her talking at the hostess stand. We had to ask another wait person to get her so we could order. One ordered the chimichanga, another the carne asada and I ordered the meal with two chicken burritos with green chili, rice and a guac salad. My rice and burritos were barely warm. I asked them to reheat them and it took longer than I think it should to pop them in the microwave. They did put a fresh salad on the plate. The chicken was tough and the carne (asada) was tough. The chips seemed stale and it seemed like the oil they were cooked in was rancid. My dad liked the chimichanga. The salsa was good. Once again we had to call our waitress over through another to get our check. While we were waiting a small group wearing santa hats and dressed festively asked if they could come in and sing. They stood right by our table and as we were getting up to leave one woman came up to me directly, put a santa stocking in front of me and asked if I would donate. I did not appreciate this approach. I stopped by the desk and told a male employee about it and all he said was "ok". I hope people that read this will have a much better experience...
Read moreMy family and I had a very disappointing evening tonight at El Valle. Our food was delicious but the service was absolutely awful. The very first greeting was warm and friendly but I then asked about their beer selection and it was returned with a very rude response, almost as if it was annoying that I didn't know the menu. Following most of our food being delivered and after waiting several minutes for plates and our missing side, I had to get up and go ask the hostess to help us with both items as our waiter was no where to be found. Finally, after asking for our bill and then again waiting a lengthy time, I ended up flagging down another waiter who told me to just get up and pay at the register. Sensing my frustration, the waiter then told me to tell the manager. As I did this he began laughing as if "this happens all the time" while the manager gave a simple "sorry" while handing me my bill. With the opportunity for the manager to completely redeem our evening, I felt like there was no sincerity in the apology and he then did nothing whatsoever to try and retain my business. Sadly, I am not sure we will be back as again, the food was good but wow....really disappointed in the all...
Read moreSent my daughter to pick up order, it was completely wrong and I was overcharged for the wrong order. Was told food would need to be returned and they would make the swap to our correct order. I asked if they could deliver it because I was working, and I didnt want to send her back with the order because there was shrimp Soup which shes highly allergic to shellfish and it was leaking all in the bag. They said it would be delivered to me right away and they would be bringing me the difference of what they overcharged me in cash (Im less than 10mins away)... 20mins later, get a call from the manager with an apology and saying they would be making the swap. I asked if they where on their way she said no because they decided to void the initial transaction on my card and they needed to process payment again for the right order before they could deliver it. After paying. I didnt get my food until 45mins after, which by then was freezing cold after sitting for so long (they did not remake). It was inedible . All in all waited over an hour after the intial wrong pick-up. Also, think its pretty disgusting that they pick up the incorrect order, especially during Covid. Will not be ordering...
