I was sitting outside in my car with my mom and my dog in my car as well due to my car having some issues and I was trying to figure out how to get it looked at and fixed that day or towed to a shop but due to the holidays I was limited on options. I was there for an hour and a half when I decided to walk across the street to the kwik trip and I wasn't gone for more than 10 mins before I got a call that Hardee's called the police on me to do a welfare check on my dog who hardees said I left in my car for hours. My dog was only left alone for 10 mins at that point and my mom was already walking back over to the car and the dog when the police had just called me and said that hardees called them for a wellfare check on my dog stating I had left him in my car for hours (yes they said hours as in obviously more then 2 or 3 hours according what police were told). Obviously a false statement because I wasn't even there for more than an hour a half tops, if that, maybe less when the cops were called. If the hardees workers even bothered to check the cameras or come outside themselves they would have clearly seen my dog was fine and had food and water inside my car. Not to mention either I, myself, or my mom was sitting with dog the entire time except the 10 mins we left to go across the street. The officer even said the dog was fine and there was no need for them to come out. So clearly the worker at hardees made a false statement to police. When I went inside to talk to them afterwards to find out why they called police nobody could even give me a straight answer and kept saying it was whoever was there before them and left already and refused to let me know who actually called police. Yet I can confirm I didn't see any employee leave during that time so I'm pretty sure the person who called was still there, but I get it protect your employees, but there was no manager there to speak to and I was beyond livid at that point. If your gonna call the police on me then atleast help me understand why the hell your calling in the first place and what grounds you have to call them on me. I wasnt rude in any way shape or form either, but if your gonna call police on me and don't even have the nerve to talk to me yourself too find out if everything is okay or not beforehand then you shouldn't be working in customer service job to begin with. However I remained calm and polite still to them. I went back to my car where I took the dog out of my car and we all went to the gas station to wait for a bit until we could get home because at this point I was so furious that if I remained in front of the store I would have definitely cussef them out at some point so to avoid that I left. I will NEVER go back to this location now and i will be blocking them on my list when I dash as well and will not pick up doordash orders from them either. This incident has drawn the line with me and clearly the workers don't even own up to their wrong doings on making false reports either. I will be obtaining a copy of the police report and initial complaint and speaking to an attorney to decide if legal action will be taken or not for this matter. False reports are not okay...
Read moreI went in stood at the register about 5 minutes to find out the young man operating the register was talking to a buddy by the tables. I order my food and go sit down. The teenage boy goes straight back to his friend and continues talking. I get it friends are good but he proceeds to drop f bombs about every third word going from cars to his biggest check of 200 bucks. While this conversation is happening he keeps peaking over his shoulder for his manager/supervisor while my food is parked in the warmer. The supervisor comes out talks into his walkie, scrambles a bit brings me my sandwiches and adds 2 cookies for the wait not knowing I waited to be served to begin with. Then this kid Brandon (on reciept) goes behind the counter and continues the conversation but louder swearing just as much behind the register. I debate about saying something to him but see the drive through is backing up so I bite my tongue and walk out to see the supervisor running food to a vehicle. I asked him for a minute of his time and explained what I had observed. His first response was a shrug "teenagers" he replies seeing I wasnt on the same page he fallows it with"hes a new hire... I'll talk to him."
Do I think Brandon should be fired... NO use this as a training opportunity!
Know your guests/clientele no one goes to a restaurant of any sort expecting to get service like that or to hear language like that. Had my kids been with me my reaction would have been very different and I'm glad they weren't.
You chose to be in the service industry so act like it! If you wouldnt act or talk like that in front of your grandparents and or respected adults definately dont act or talk like that in front of the people supplying the opportunity for you to make that 200 bucks. Yes Hardees franchise owner employs you but we the customers are the reason they are able to.
Unfortunately I hold the manager more responsible than the young man because he seamed numb to it all and did nothing but take over and run like a decapitated chicken when he saw the kid on the floor. If you trully earned the manager position dont play the part BE the part and delegate the responsibilities appropriately and correct the issue immeadiately prior to more customers bringing up.
With proper training and discipline both of these gentleman can go a long way not only in the service management arena but all the other doors it opens.
Last and most guilty are the owners of this franchise! Dont get complacent! Train your employees to take your position as a owner and they will perform better for you.
Best of luck and I hope the young man is corrected and trained as he didnt stop smiling...
Read moreI was traveling all day and was looking forward to having Hardee's. I haven't been to one in a long time, so when I saw that there was a Hardee's kinda close by on my route, I decided it was worth a side trip and stopped. However, it turned out to be a HUGE BUST! First, the directions to Hardee's wasn't very clear but luckily Hardee's was easily visible from the main road, so I was able to get turn back around and get on the right road to get to it even though Google Maps wasn't directing me right. Then the drive thru wasn't available to use. So I parked to go in and found out that their credit card processer was down (I had absolutely no cash on me, nor was I given any idea of where a ATM was). To top it off, the bathrooms were disgusting. All in all, waisted my time that day and still to this day, I have not eaten at a Hardee's in a long time. Very...
