The food was not bad, could have had more flavor, I got the Cuban and the pulled pork didn't seem to be seasoned. I made the mistake of getting a fountain drink, way more than just a can. Kind of a dour experience. I felt like I was supposed to know how the system worked and they were a trifle exasperated when I needed some explanation. The ladies working were very serious, no music playing so it was sort of an uncomfortable silence the whole time I was there. Only one other person there when I was there but when I went to the register to buy a postcard ( they do have some interesting and funny Wisconsin themed gifts for sale) the woman at the register was very intent on something and ignored me for close to a minute. Stunningly clean customer eating area. Hand sanitizer in conspicuous areas ie; cash register, counter & restrooms. Restrooms almost clinically clean, well stocked & pleasantly scented. Wonderful array of Wisconsin cheeses, snacks & cakes. Equally wonderful very affordable menu choices. Customer focused family owned staff. Dropping by was an impromptu decision as we were looking for a much needed meal while traveling from near Rockford, IL. We were genuinely pleasantly surprised by our choice to stop here. We already recommended Log Cabin Deli & Cheese to a loved one & are more than happy to be repeat customers whenever we're in the area. YUM!!! This place is a gem of a joint...SO charming, SO clean, SO dang delicious. The service I received was top notch and the staff was warm and welcoming. There were several choices to choose from but I went with the roast beef sandwich and the sub roll...mmmmmm, mmmmmm good! Everything down to the chip selection was something different vs. the "plain Jane" options you find at other places. Their deli, cheeses, gift shop was also an added bonus and I loved my overall experience.
