Very convenient location for grabbing some fresh made sandwiches and pastries/breads. Patience is key, as they don’t seem to be in any sort of rush to assist you. It’s a popular spot so they are busy as well. The sandwiches are lacking flavor, they quite often don’t have several sandwiches for no real reason than they just don’t. The bakery items as pretty good, but there are some hits and some misses. Overall, a decent place to grab food instead of a fast food joint, but not what it used to be. Flavor is missing, which is weird for Puerto Rico’s dishes.

This bakery is a great stop for coffee and trying the specialty of Mayagüez, the Brazo Gitano, a Swiss roll filled with guava and/or cheese. There’s a section of the shop that serves food for lunch and dinner menu as well. An added convenience is that the shop is open till midnight, which means you can plan to come by later in your trip, and avoid carrying bags of souvenir desserts you purchase around all day.

Amazing customer service. Great prices on pastries and food for lunch. I went on a Tuesday afternoon around 2pm. There were 3 ladies helping customers non-stop. All 3 were very friendly, smiling and helping in any way possible whether you needed bread, pastries, coffee or hot food like me. I had the flancocho and a cream filled donut. I also had rice, beans and pernil (roasted pork). Everything was delicious.

While eating a sandwich with the family last night close to closing, a male employee was sweeping the floor when on at least 3 ocasiones, he used the same broom to remove wrinkled napkins, straw wrappings and crumbs of chairs and the tables that patrons use to place their food on and eat off of. This is unhealthy, unsanitary, indecent and unacceptable. People carry all kinds of dirt, debris, germs, bacteria and even feces under their shoes which then gets transferred on to the tables where we eat. This is a reflection of poor management and oversight. In an era of diseases, this should not be happening. I can only imagine what goes on in the kitchen during the food preparation stage. The department of health should visit them and ask to review the footage from the security/ surveillance cameras before they claim they were off or not functioning. Unless he start holding people accountable for their actions, our exposure to health risks will go ignored. This occurred on Tuesday 7/11/2023 between 11:00 pm...

The food here is unfortunately over priced. I don't think they take any pride in a job well done because they're quick to blame the owners when something isn't to liking. I've over paid for a plate of beans, rice and a scoop of potato salad (6.41 with no drink or any kind of meat or chicken). My boyfriend payed nearly 10 dollars for a meal and a drink which just doesn't compete with this style of food elsewhere in Mayagüez. They've butchered the lettering on a birthday cake before and then simply blammed the lettering lady and did not fix it. I love their pastries but would refuse to buy anything from them because of their serious short...

One can NEVER go wrong with Ricomini. Even with a fastidious child in tow. There's a menu on the wall that appeals to a vast majority of locals and tourists alike, not to mention a glass display of sweet baked treats made on the premises. Imagine a mini Mart with a bakery and deli. I got hooked on their Pastrami sandwiches in an almost offensive way, they were that good. The service is great and the attendants are patient with non Spanish speakers. Atm and cash accepted and ohhh yes, try the loaf bread and Brazo Gitanos made onsite as well. Can't say enough about this place. I'll be back...
