Wings Etc. — Restaurant in Mayfield

Used to be a wonderful place for wings. But!...Below is a very different and extremely recent review (04/03/21) of Wings Etc. In Mayfield, Kentucky.....

This has been a long time since my last review... and I am very very disappointed with thier less than transparent business practice that transpired this evening. Tonight, Monday night is a weekly promotion of bone-in wing night with a 0.79 cents per wing cost. After dinner the reciept showed more than 0.79 cents per wing. I asked the manager what is the reason that the bill does not reflect the order from our table. She said that the wings increased from 0.79 to 0.99 cents per wing. I told her no one informed me at the time of taking our order. Manager said price increase happened today. I asked why the server did not inform us of the increase...then the female bartender shouted to us that they received the notification of price increase that same night at 6.00pm via corporate email..... Really? I did the math and the bill was still more than the 0.99 cents price hike. In asking the manager again where was the explanation for the higher price after I calculated the wings at 0.99 cents per wing. The manager said..."the extra charge was for the sauce. This only happens on Monday bone-in wing night". I asked her who only orders fried wings without a sauce? I told her this is a wing restaurant and all wings come with a sauce as part of the menu price. You can decide for yourselves but in my opinion this business practice is as crooked as a country road. There was no explanation from the manager when asked why the Monday night patrons were not informed of the price hike. How many guest blindly paid thier inflated bills without reviewing thier reciept? If you decide to patronize this establishment in the future you have already decided your money does not mean a lot to your well being and transparent business practice is not...

Place sucks stay as far away as you can ,how hard is it to not put bacon on a chicken sandwhich. I asked for no bacon they didn't put any cheese and it had bacon on it .this place is a train wreck from the owner spouting racial slurs and managers too ,the workers and cooks and owners and managers making a fool of themselves drunk at the bar . It Takes 30 minutes to get a drink on a Friday night ? With 6 people in there ? This place is a joke and needs to be something else it's the worst place to eat because it's in a prime location but they're wasting it do to incompetence and the fact that they just don't care .go through the reveiws you'll see several people mention racial slurs and terrible experiences .stay as far away from this place as you can ,I think it's time wing etc let someone else have a business that could be successful in its place .sell it and let someone who has passion and is clean and knows how to run a restaurant have that spot and oppurtunity because at best ,wings etc is a black eye on mayfields food market and is a sad representation of a rebuilding mayfield after the tornado .if you don't know how to run a restaurant or do your job or have good customer service and be clean and have clean hot fresh fast food ,then give up .because mayfield...

Service was good mostly, a little delay in beer orders. We (4 people) went on 69 cent wing night, on their special monday night promotion.

It was a sort of a bate and switch...when you order 10 wings, you expect 5 flats and 5 drummies, period! (Unless you specify a preference) This establishment does not show in their menu thats their flats are an extra 10 cents up charge per flat...a very unfair business pratice. I see it as unethical pricing for guest.

After a discussion with the server. She discussed it with the manager. The manager offered a 10% discount on the wing purchases only, not the bill.

Last week my order came out as 9 drummies and 1 flat. My guest has the same 1 and 9 also.

Well. I know they lost some of my business.
