Sapporo Sushi Steakhouse of Mayfield — Restaurant in Mayfield

I ate there for the first time yesterday. I am on a very limited diet so was concerned if I would be able to eat, but decided to try. Our server was named Ho Li and was as sweet and friendly as you can imagine. She took great care to make sure the items I cannot eat were not served. I ordered the filet and chicken combo and I must say this was the first time in about 10 years I had steak that I needed to add no salt, pepper, or sauce to. It was amazing. I decided to try the Thai iced tea and was pleasantly surprised. My wife ordered the shrimp Bento box. The portions are quite generous and we had to get to go boxes for all that was left. Even though the food was superior compared to most in Mayfield, the service is what will keep me going back. We gave Ho Li a $30 tip and she earned every penny. UPDATE!!! I have been going to this place since they opened and have never had an issue Until tonight. I had gone to my birthday dinner with some friends and their children. We were told our children were too old to order off the kids menu, even though they never asked how old they were. Also had some bariatric patients in my group who need smaller portions and they were also not allowed to order off the kids menu. After being told we couldn’t order off the kids menu the server walked away and never came back. Needless to say we got up and walked out because they apparently didn’t want our money.

We tried this restaurant for thr first time. We found the place to be very clean and loved the simple design of the place. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We ordered the sweet chili shrimp appetizer and it was delicious! My husband ordered the imperial dinner (steak, shrimp and chicken) and I had the fillet and shrimp. The food came out perfect and great proportions for the price. It was also great to be able to have hibachi and not have fo sit with strangers around a huge table. The only slight negatives we exerperinced was that the booths are not very wide (the seats are very close to the table) but there are tables of you want more room and I asked for lemon in my diet coke and instead of a lemon they squeezed lemon juice in it which was kind of odd but I was able to drink it, it was just a little strong.
