I have been coming here for years. I used to love this place. This is the first time I have had such a horrid experience. I called in to place an order for pick up. Now I didn't know businesses do this nowadays but when I asked for the total, the girl said the price and that a 4% surcharge is being added for credit card payments. Now I didn't know this was legal now but I asked her at the time why this was being done. I said, "isn't this illegal"? It was a simple question that would have been taken care of with an answer of no, and that it is there policy. But instead she says, if you have a problem with this, you can speak to the owner. Then she says I will pass your number along. I then said forget it, I don't need to speak with owner. Then she got all angry and said why am I taking this tone with her. And then she hung up on me. Then I get a call about 2 hours later asking if I'm going to pick up my order from another person who works there. The original girl kept my order in even after hanging up on me. Who does that?
The owner of this establishment should get rid of this person from the counter area or the whole store. I have spoken with the owner several times in the past. He seems like a very nice person. Why he hired this girl is beyond me. It's the girl that speaks better English. The other girl with the broken English is so much more polite and knows how to treat customers. She is terrible and will only make your business look much worse. She does not know a damn thing about how to speak to customers. This BAD employee of yours is destroying your business. Before writing this, I have read some of the other bad reviews and it seems like many other people have had issues with this girl in the past. Either the owner no longer cares or this girl is his daughter.

I have had Lomo Saltado many times before at other Peruvian restaurants and at many of their family gatherings. The steak didn't taste seasoned the dish was very bland. I could even taste the blood out of the packaging of the meat. Meaning that you guys don't clean your meats very well. The skin from the rotisserie chicken wasn't crispy as the reviews stated. The rice did not taste fresh what so ever. I went around 3pm . There is no reason why the rice tasted old. As far as the price and portion size you do get your money's worth. I was just disappointed. I wanted to mention another major thing. The waitress didn't even give me her name. She kind of just took my order. Instead of saying " Hello, or Hola ? My name is _ Welcome to Uncle Paulies. Can I start you off with something to drink " ( The kind of vibe that I got was what do you want so I can get back to my conversation ) The staff is just way too chatty. You should be focused on your customer. Instead of having personal conversations. You are there to make money tend to your customer. I asked for water, not the bottle but in the glass. But today was just HORRIBLE , it changed our family's expectations, and our dinner wasn't PLEASANT.
