Winchell's Donut House — Restaurant in Maywood

I usually don't eat at Winchell, but I forgot my coffee at home so I stopped here since it was on my way to work. The worker said the coffee was on the house, and to have a good day. Shocked at this random act of kindness that seemed to have been lost in this world for some time, I came back the next day on my day off with my kids to have lunch here. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful!

Before leaving, I saw that they sold Salvadorian quesadillas here. I bought some for my Salvi In-laws and they loved it! They said that the quesadillas are hard to make, and you have to find the right people to make them. They said they'll be telling all their friends...

This is the 3rd time I come, the bagels are delicious. I had the hazelnut coffee once and I loved it. Just that the 3 times I’ve came service has been off. One instance a lady who was trying to ignore us got upset we didn’t tell her the full order when she was the one who left to the back before taking our whole order. The second instance is 4am, trying to get a hazelnut coffee and bagel and the guy gives me a cold brew coffee in a hot cup with ice and says he doesn’t know how to make the hazelnut....

When I walked up to the window the was one employee, a lady. I simply was trying to get her attention in a polite way, as she had ignored me the whole time, and her response was “I’m busy! I see you!” Although she hadn’t previously acknowledged me. I will make sure to call corporate as I have no patience with rude or shrewd ingorant attitudes. I am the customer, they need to show the...
