Our first visit was a tremendous experience. My wife and I took our son for his last meal before heading back to University! He enjoyed the Seafood pasta...! I also enjoyed my pasta with the Guancale...! My wife enjoyed her Bolognese...! We were so happy to have found an authentic Italian place to call home...! (were Italians from Chicago) So happy as it is very close to home!!! A week or so later my wife wanted to go back. I enjoyed the tap Peroni and she her merlot...! We decided to try the pizza (remember we are from Chicago)...total disappointment; the sausage was very small tasteless crumbles and the crust very plain... We continued to enjoy our evening when it seemed to us that we were invisible...nobody came to check on us and we had empty glasses (I'm in the hospitality industry and I was beginning to get annoyed by the lack of service)(it doesn't matter how good the food is if service lacks, the experience is ruined)...we had to flag down a different server and still no service...our evening was ruined...my wife was upset and wanted to leave...! Finally a gent by the name of Giorgio tried to appease us. He apologized for everything and told us that the bill will be reduced and to enjoy a complimentary dessert on them. (we didnt come for a hand out) At any rate my wife wanted a cake of some kind and it was old and dry... Our evening was done...we left very disappointed... In my line of work, I'll give an establishment three tries to see if it is worthy of our patronage. Third visit: We decided to treat our daughter to dinner with us... Giorgio saw us and sat us down promptly... I ordered the sausage roll and the girls some pasta. Again, we were ignored most of the time while our glasses of wine and beer empty...! Food was taking long to be served. My sausage roll came out first...I was waiting for the ladies to get their plates but, they never showed up...! My wife just told me to go ahead and eat, cause your food is getting cold... so I tried the sausage roll (I've had many in my life)...! Sadly, again with the small tasteless sausage and no mushrooms and peppers as I ordered...! Not even real mozzarella!! It was provolone!! I was very upset cause I was eating alone and had an incorrect order and didn't taste well at all...! Finally after 20 minutes the ladies pasta dishes came out! Ugh! They were very small portions and they were not happy with the flavors! My wife had the alfredo which was watery and tasteless and my daughter a veggie pasta dish that was not appetizing! Giorgio tried to satisfy our experience but my wife stormed out leaving me to pay and run after her; hurt and very disappointed......! I'm sorry for the long comment but, I want you fine folks to be successful and flourish and enjoy the establishment that everyone there works hard at... Your dishes are a bit overpriced for the portions you receive but, if the dishes are delicious that wouldn't matter much...! I'm not sure if my wife and I will be returning anytime soon... Maybe, I can convince her to try it one more time...! Until then, please train the the wait staff more, hire more trained folks in the kitchen, and, maintain the freshness of your ingredients!!! If you cannot deliver on quality, you might consider closing until you have a full staff and everyone is on the same page...! (my suggestion) Hopefully see you soon!

Read moreWe visited Terra Mia on a busy Sunday during Christmas time. I understand the tourism due to Christmas lights brings in a much higher volume than they are used to throughout the year, however, they did not seem equipped to handle it. We got there at a decent time (4 pm) and there was quite a crowd waiting to get their name on the list. Upon entering the restaurant, there was no sense of order or line to get to a host. The guy was just running around randomly putting people down, regardless of who was there first. We were told no when we asked to put our name on the list, and then 5 minutes later after putting others down he came back to us. I’m not sure if the guy just isn’t used to hosting or what, but definitely is an off putting first impression. We eventually opted to sit at the bar when seats opened there. For some reason all they would put on the TV was news, but we didn’t say anything because that’s not important to us. Others asked to change the channel to a sports game (it was a Sunday afternoon after all) and they gave some excuse as to why the TV doesn’t work. Overall, I’m sure the bartender did her best to be attentive, but you could tell she was extremely overwhelmed and just could not handle the amount of guests she was serving. We waited close to 40 minutes just to get appetizers and then at least another 35-40 for our entrees, and then quite a while to flag down the bartender to get a check. I’ve eaten at plenty high volume restaurants in touristy areas that usually know how to handle busy times well. This place does not quite have it down. The food was less than impressive and definitely not worth the high price. We ordered the vodka pasta which didn’t even closely resemble any vodka sauce I’ve had before. I suggest eating before getting to McAdenville, there don’t seem to be any good...
Read moreI haven't been to this restaurant in about a year because the owner was so disrespectful to me and my wife the last time and we were picking up food then as well. I ordered online their Nonna style pizza and some mozzarella sticks. It said it would take 25 minutes to pick up. I came to pick it up 25 minutes later and it wasn't ready. No big deal. Other folks had been waiting a lot longer so no problem. A pizza came out and I knew it was mine but waited. 10 minutes later the hostess got the pizza and sticks and handed it to me. I went outside and I felt the pizza was cold. I opened the box and it wasn't Nonna pizza at all and the toppings were wrong. I went back in now dealing with this for the last 45 minutes. The hostess said that they were out of Nonna style and substituted New York style instead without asking if that was ok. I said that wasn't what we ordered and it had been sitting there for 10 minutes anyway and was cold. She offered a free drink or a free dessert but i said it wasn't ok to substitute and I wouldn't take a cold pizza. I asked for a refund and she said she couldn't do that because I had used a third party online app and I would need to go through them. Long story short...1. Wrong pizza...2. Substituted without asking...3. Wrong pizza sat for 10 minutes and cold...4. Tried to bribe to take the wrong cold pizza with a can of soda or a dessert that isn't good anyway...5. Attitude when asking for refund...6. Dont get take out from this place because they dont have the organizational skills and management skills to handle it and they won't make things right and will have attitude when you don't their poor cold food you didn't want or order....
