Buffalos Cafe & Pizzeria — Restaurant in McAlester

I'm going to be honest, but as objective as I can. There was one waitress for the whole cafe, she was overworked as every table was full. When she finally got to our table and asked us our drinks, she stopped us mid sentence and said she had to get another table first.

She eventually came back and got our drink order. We got our drinks fairly quickly, and then she promptly walked away to another table, we had to wait another 10 minutes or so before we could order our food.

My wife ordered the hot beef and told the waitress about her gluten allergy and specifically asked for no toast. When we got our food, the wife's food had toast on it, we flagged the waitress down and showed her the problem, the waitress took it back to the kitchen and brought the same plate and food back without the toast on it. All they had done was remove the toast that was under the meat.

My wife explained the problem again. The waitress took it away and came back a few moments later and said that they were out of that dish. So, with my wife's limited options, she wasn't able to eat.

The place was packed. 2 tables left by the door because it was so cold. I asked the waiter what she recommended. One of the things was chicken chunks. Little did I know it also came with a soup or salad but they were out of soup and don’t like salad so she offered double mashed potatoes(real potatoes). It also came with buttered toast and either pinto beans or okra. I got the okra. All that for 7.99. That cheaper than most fast food value meals. They could bump that price up 4-5 dollars easily. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. We arrived at 10:00, at 10:37, we saw 1 table get their food (they arrived much later than we did). The waitress told us that the table recieved their food because they had told her they were in a hurry. 45 minutes after arrival, we finally got our food. Hashbrowns and biscuits were burned on the bottom. Toast was soggy. Waitress said they had a big order of biscuits and gravy, 25 orders, and thats why the kitchen was behind. Still no excuse for burning the food. They did take off taxes and drinks....whoopie do!! Needless to say several customers by us said they would never go back either. Too bad! It used to be a good place. New owners...
