Man...I WANTED this to be good, but it just wasn't. We love coffee, and driving back to Dallas, this is the only coffee shop in McAlester, or anywhere remotely enroute, and oftentimes you can find a gem of a boutique place in a small town like this, so we tried it. The girls behind the counter were pleasant (which is the ONLY reason for the one star), but the coffee drinks were subpar on every level. I ordered a grande latte, a drink that receives two shots of espresso at Starbucks (already BARELY enough in the coffee to milk ratio), and my friend ordered a five-shot americano. I have a hard time believing that all shots were accounted for because the drinks tasted SO weak, but either way, the shots were definitely over-extracted. Bitter. Bitter. Bitter. Add to that the fact that skim milk (MAYBE 2%) was used in the latte (unfrothed) and it completes the mess. It tasted MUCH more like bad drip coffee with cream, and was NOT worth spending over $6 a drink on...just go to any gas station and get a drip and save your money, or wait until you can get to a real...
Read moreThis coffee shop used to be my favorite. Iâve gone to it for years. But with the amount of money weâve put into it, really isnât worth it much anymore or the disappointment daily. Within the last six months itâs really gone downhill. If it wasnât for about four of the girls who work there, this place probably wouldnât have the customers they still do, including me and my fiancĂ©! Nothing is ever in stock! Thereâs multiple apologies from the staff (that shouldnât be coming from them), yet should be from the owner for not taking better care of all locations. Iâve heard from many other customers, how unsatisfied they are with how itâs being managed now. The way I see it, itâs a shame and the staff is having to pay for these inconveniences, especially with how hard they work for this business. Itâs just a huge disappointment considering this is McAlesterâs âgo toâ...
Read moreStaff was pleasant. The Grande white chocolate mocha normally comes with 2 shots but you can add an extra shot for $0.50. The hot grande is about the size of a venti from Starbucks(who also only puts 2 shots in their grande and venti). The grande frappe is the same size as the grande Frappuccino at Starbucks. The French silk is wonderful! I thought the price was reasonable compared to Starbucks. I bought a triple grande white chocolate mocha hot and a grande French silk and my total was $10.81. Would have been around $12 at Starbucks. Will definitely be stopping by here when driving through OK.
Only complaint was they were not enforcing people to wear masks even though it was posted...
