Don’t have time to stop? MAKE time! This was a delicious and HAPPY spot! My family of four stopped in on our way to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Lucy’s had something to please mom, dad, a 13-year-old, and a 16-year-old: Champagne Chicken Salad, The Beast Sandwich (Roast beef, roasted red peppers, and other yumminess), MiMi Sandwich (chicken breast on a pretzel bun and other trimmings), and a BLT. Who knew a BLT could be life-changing?! Might’ve been the sundried tomato bread! The roasted edamame salad and Texas caviar sides did not disappoint! Get it to-go if you must, but don’t leave without their ridiculously amazing Carrot Cake or Cherry Cobbler! My kids are still talking about how friendly everyone was. After only 45 minutes, we felt we’d always known each other. We shared with Natalie that my son commented he wanted another MiMi sandwich for his dessert, and then she went and made him one to-go! We are so happy our family experienced Lucy’s for both the food and the people! You’ll be blessed...
Read moreMy husband and I were on a road trip from OKC to Broken Bow and wanted to stop in McAlester for lunch. We stopped in Lucy's Two and we were immediately greeted by friendly staff who walked us through all the menu options. Our food came quickly and we were checked on often to ensure we were happy and our needs met. I had their daily special of mexican corn muffins (with choice of soup/salad) and it was delicious! My side salad was a lovely mix of spring greens, fresh tomatoes, olives, and garlic croutons; extremely fresh. My husband had the Muffuletta and white bean soup. Sandwich was so flavorable and the bread was outstanding and obviously fresh baked. Soup was hearty and savory. We also got a decadent piece of homemade carrot cake...was to die for! Whole experience was delightful and we will definitely be back when in (or anywhere near)McAlester. Well...
Read moreOne of the best sandwich/salad/dessert shops you will find anywhere & I have to say the best in McAlester, OK. I had the Pretzel Bun with turkey & it was AMAZING. The potato salad was the best I have ever had, with bacon & green onions in it. And I made the mistake of ordering a Bread Pudding dessert (which was so rich & delicious) after ordering a full sandwich without realizing the size of the sandwich.
Owned by some very friendly, lovely folks who really treated every customer like their own.
Definitely going back there & looking forward to trying some of their other...
